Round 6 v Dragons @ WIN Stadium - SHOWDOWN IN THE 'GONG

The Panthers are now back on top since Round 26 last year, after a somewhat scrappy win over the Storm. The focus is now on the showdown with the red hot Dragons down in Wollongong on Sunday.

PANTHERS - Storm made the Panthers look ordinary at times, particularly in defence. Needs to be tight for the entire 80 minutes to keep the Dragons at bay. But still very damaging in attack, with the halves in arguably the best form of their respective careers.

DRAGONS - Have been on fire lately, and perhaps finally threatening to be the force that they have been promising to be for a number of years. The Panthers will provide a valuable litmus test on their current form.

The potential spectacle that this match could provide is virtually boundless. Two teams in great form, in a heavy weight battle - the venue, WIN Stadium. There can only be one winner (unless the scores are tied after GP).

Panthers by 7.

I'm sure it will be another great game, between 2 talented and exciting footy teams,
but I just hope that we don't get stuck sitting next to the same kind of disgusting
dragon fans as we copped last time.

Last year's match at WIN stadium was the worst sledging and foul attitudes that I
have had to put up with since the last time I went to Parra stadiium.

I don't mind a bit of good natured banter, but those fans last season were absolute
shockers and brought nothing but disrepute to their club. One of my Panther friends
that was with me had brought her mum who was a dragon's fan, and she was totally
ashamed at the actions of her fellow dragons. She was so embarassed that she couldn't
even bring herself to stand and cheer for her team, but kept her head down and
herself hidden as much as possibe because she was so ashamed.

She is hoping for a very different atmosphere this season.........and so are we.
Fingers crossed for that..........a fair refereeing performance this time around........
AND a Panthers win.

I think we'll win. I hope we'll win. But if the worste should happen and we lose I can cop it as long as weo lost fair and square and not on the back of some shocking decisions like we experiences in the corresponding match last season.

Should be a rip roaring game, both sides are on fire!

This could be a real danger game for you guys, as you might take them a little too lightly, after beating all the heavyweights in the competition.

We are the chocolate soldiers no more. There is a winning culture at Penrith at the moment. I can't see why we wouldn't continue to win this week at Wollongong. Penrith by 8.

I think we will see Amos and Girds side of the field peppered with all the attacking moves.

The Dragons would know of Amos' weaknesses and Girds hasnt been playing a lot lately...still rusty.

I just hope Hornby reads the "How to catch a football" book the night before.

Should be a points bonanza, both teams racked up large scores in the two encounters last year, and the Penrith defence has been a lil' leaky of late, conceding 26 last week v Melbourne. Of course, we leaked 34 v Melbourne a few weeks ago.
The forward clashes are going to be incendiary, the attack from the backlines blistering.
Cant wait for it. 3 days to go now.
