This game is a 50/50.They beat us twice last yr in 2 of the worst games of the season. They r playing well enough to win this & r due for there 1st win & who better to come up against than a rudderless WT.This could be won around the scrumbase where they have a lot of experience & a much better kicking game.If Moses can't reproduce the form of 1st 2 rounds we will struggle. The less said about our 7 the better. He should b playing NSW cup & the less times he touches the ball the better for us as he consistently plays braindead.

Potter who got sacked & Brown who was overlooked for WT coaching job will both have extra incentive to win this.

Simona suspended, what a farce. Pretty much the only player not to get off in years and it's a Tigers guy. Pays to not be one of the glamour teams.

It's a f**king joke.Where is the relativity.Simona gets 3 weeks for a tackle which is innocuous compared to Taupau's when he comatosed Bird a few weeks ago & only missed 1match for.

The admin of this sport is diabolical with the massive inequities & outrageous decisions involving the judiciary , 3rd party sponsorships, refereeing & the bunker especially with the inconsistent decisions applied to obstruction.

If Simona wore red/white/blue, blue & white or maroon & white he'd be playing this week !

My wavering enthusiasm for this year is on the line this week. With Simona suspended I have heard Milone is apparently first choice for replacement. Nothing against Milone but he hasnt taken the opportunities thrown his way last season and did nothing outstanding and barely even made the grade as back up material. If he is picked and the others in the mix left out, that will do me for the year. Another wasted year and the perennial WT problem of rewarding mediocrity.

It will also confirm in my opinion that WT remain in salary cap problems, or maybe more accurately lack of cash, to properly promote potential talent and demote under-performers if they dont make the grade after a number of matches. Sironen is another one that could be / should be on the chopping block but probably never will.

I recall seeing somewhere recently a post giving reason to WT peculiar promotion and demotion habits and the preference for local players over imported. Should try and find it.

If Milone is really our first choice back up centre then we are completely f*#ked. The guy is barely nsw cup standard.

I've lived in Newcastle a few years now and have been to the last 3 or for games against the knight's at marathon. Have gone home disappointed every time. Starting to think i'm a bad luck charm lol
Mind you, the rather harsh and vocal crowd always seems to fire up the knights, and the ref's. Makes for a bloody frustrating game. :(

Yes, they are certainly one of our bogey teams aren't they. Not expecting much to change this time round really.

Indeed they are, the whole atmosphere is just plain hostile unless your wearing a knights jersey and have a six pack stuffed down your pants :D
None the less, i'll be there in full color, surely were due for a win ?

From Foxsports this morning

TEDDY IN DOUBT FOR KNIGHTS CLASH

Wests Tigers fullback James Tedesco could miss Sunday’s trip to Hunter Stadium as he battles to overcome a hip flexor injury.

Channel Seven is reporting Tedesco picked up the injury last week and will need to pass a fitness test at Saturday’s captain’s run to get on the bus.

NSW legend Anthony Minichello, meantime, says Tedesco is a lock for the Blues this year if he stays fit.

“If he can stay fit you can’t deny him of a spot this year,” Minichello told Channel Seven.

“I think he should be fullback, Josh Dugan needs to be in the side as well, so I’m not sure where Laurie Daley fits both those guys

Interesting to see who drops out of the nsw cup game today. I'd suggest a few outsider backs will. Id guess Milone will be left center and JAC left wing with Rankin going to fullback if Teddys out.

Apparently Milone, Heleta and MCK have all trained with the top squad this week.

Teddy fine to play. Milone *sigh* slots in for Simona at centre is the word apparently

JAC 18th man which I assume is for if Teddy has any slip ups

A little part of me wants to see us lose so Taylor gets the sack for his brain dead decisions

Just read that Vic before jumping on this site.

Wests Tigers Intrust Super Premiership Head Coach Paul Stringer has finalised his side to take on Illawarra Cutters this afternoon for their Round 6 clash.

Kickoff for the match is at 3:00pm AEDT from Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Stringer's side will see a number of changes to the team originally named during the week, with Josh Addo-Carr, Watson Heleta, Nathan Milone and Jesse Parahi all ruled out.

Jeremy Marshall-King will start the game at fullback, with Holden Cup fullback Luke Sharpe named to make his Intrust Super Premiership debut on the wing. Michael Chee Kam moves from the back row into the centres, with Tyler Cassel brought into the starting side.

Wesley Lolo and Jackson Williams come on to the interchange bench alongside Dallas Graham and Jordan Grant as Wests Tigers look to bounce back from last week's defeat.
Are the 3 backs out because they are going to Newcastle? If yes:
Haleta is NSW Cup fullback so you'd assume that he's there in case Tedesco gets hurt in the warmup or doesn't pull up OK after captains run today.
Milone in for Simona.
Addo-Carr in case JT can't make up his mind on what to do on the drive north
Interesting that Chee Kam played in the centre in Rd 1 and now is playing in the 2nd row. What position did JT want to play him when he signed him, I wonder.

If Milone was to be selected to play NRL ever again it should result in the death knell of Taylor's coaching career !

If teddy doesn't play tomorrow the Knights will register there 1st win of season. The undeniable fact is that if we had an avg fullback instead of the sublime teddy we'd be winless & stone motherless last.

Milone is the least talented outside back we've had for a while. It would be typical of Taylor to select him.
