Round 6 v Redcliffe

I thought Edwards was one of our best in an incredibly weak field. Ran the ball back well, got us into the grind in that first half. Alamoti was good too, sin bin was very harsh.

The biggest problem was our edges. Getting carved up so easily when the game was in our control in the first half is poison for a side that wants to win like we do. Tago was poor (and I'm coming around to the idea of him going backrow), but Casey and Jenkins really showed what having too many Cup level players in your side can do at this level. Just awful performances from both. Kepaoa may not be the answer, but he 100% deserves a shot over either of them.

It looks like there might be something going on behind the scenes. Both Martin and Yeo were taken off late in the second half when the game was technically in the balance. Martin in particular looks a shadow of the player he can be, so either he had an injury or Ivan's had enough of him phoning it in as our season collapses.

It can't be easy for a team who has been so dominant to process what is happening right now, so I wouldnt be surprised if there was some serious strain culturally at the moment. Sadly, I think this gets worse before it gets better.

Edges were quite poor. They looked under pressure and aren't equipped to handle it right now. You just wish we had Luai on one side taking care of it and Cleary on the other.

Nathan Cleary with his experience needs to figure it out here. Andrew Johns said that he needs to dumb down the approach. Quite prophetic after watching tonight's performance. It was glaring that we lacked game management in that second half.

They seriously look like they don’t want to be there. If we’re honest there were cracks starting to show last season. I think the fight has left them. Along with losing their home ground and some of their most important players.
Still frustrating to watch.

Merkins like you would rather attack a frustrated fan rather than address the pathetic performance of the team and the management. It's like shooting the messenger.

This team has had numerous flaws but the winning has kept papering over them. Now they are just too big to cover up.

I am happy with the last 5 years and have said to people I am okay with us not winning again for even a decade. But I expected us to at least play half decently in our decline.

That performance was laughingstock stuff and most worrying is that 2 of our most senior players were amongst the worst.
The sin bin was a HUGE factor in the game. The team is low in confidence BUT I know we can turn it around. Look for positives NOT negatives you sound like DUTTON!!!!!!!!!!

This season feels like the start of 2019 at the moment but could well become worse like 2007. It wouldn’t surprise if we go worse and I’m starting to hate watching my team again like the Elliott years. The last premiership was won 6 months ago but it’s feeling distant.

If you’d have told me 5 years ago that we’d be 4 premierships deep and I’d be getting horny for a 3. Garner 4. Alamoti centre pairing in our 5peat season…

Excuses! Last week the Cowboys had a sin binning - and they beat us 6-0 during that period. What does that say about us then?

Burying our heads in the sand and pretending we don't have problems is not going to solve anything. That is called Denial and is the opposite of accountability.

Bellamy would have torn strips out of his team if they performed anything like that.

I am sure we can turn things around. IC knows how to win and having a positive mindset in difficult times is what can turn things around, With due respect to Tom Jenkins he should ONLY be a fill in FG. Better to look at the long term is he a better prospect than Jesse Maclean I don't think so

Something is seriously wrong mentally. All that 2nd half needed was the Benny Hill theme song playing. Still tie to bounce back, but with Origin to get through finals are fast getting out of reach.

Blaze is not the answer. He has no idea how or when to pass.
His options to pass to are McLean and Jenkins. Who will both f**k it up either way. Fancy being thrown into the halves and having those guys as your attacking options.

Jenkins was probably our worst. Kick happy and his kicking is shit
Tago cant tackle or set up his outside man. Passes about as often as McLean
McLean likes to go himself and die with the ball
Alamoti is too slow and weak to score when given the opportunity

Blaize had his issues too. But even if he made a perfect decision everytime. One of these guys would f**k it up.

Why would you pair up McLean and Jenkins 2 inexperienced guys on one side. And have tago and alamoti on the other.Tago and alamoti should be the 2 centres with Jenkins on 1 wing and McLean on the other.Lindsay Smith is terrible at the moment looks so slow.Blaize needs to release the ball he dummies too often and then try's the miracle.pass that's not on.But he needs to be in the 17 if not 5/8 at least centre maybe. The problem this yr is the senior players have been shocking and the young guys are not up to scratch.

THE ONLY player I would drop is Jenkins not a FG player
Edwards (30 years old)
Alamoti
New centre (maybe Cole)
New centre (maybe Cole
To'o
New 5/8
Cleary
New prop
Kenny
Leota (30 years old)
Martin
Papalii
Yeo (30 years old)

Smith
Henry
Garner (30 years old)
Utility

We need a rebuild

I think he has had a number of good touches this year. I'd like to see him start centre if he plays first grade. Just get him away from the high ball.

I love Casey but he is struggling right now. Tough start to his career.

Other guy under the radar is Jesse McClean. Whatever happens we are now 1-5 to start the season and some changes are incoming.

I think the performance of our so called fans on here is far worse than than the performance of our team.

The sense of entitlement is frankly astonishing.

Again we weren’t good enough, I can live with it.

What I can’t quite come to terms with is the bullshit from most on here. It is a disgrace.

This what I said last week if Cole wasn't 6. A rookie will still stuff up
