Round 6 v Silvertails

The way the Roosters play and train means all these players will never be available at the same time.

Also I wouldn't be counting on Crichton making a splash for them this season. Lots of smoke around his extra curricular activities. Personally I don't expect to see him on the field at all this season.
Which is?

(sorry bout the dodgy thingy above Luke)

Never have turier words been spoken. Anyone who has followed league closely for a number of years know that Soni Luke had and has great talent. Just gone through a real tuff run with injuries.

Sick and tired also of reading the word 'plodder' when referring to Scotty Sorrenson, or Zac hosking.

A plodder was a bloke like Purtell. Not the 2 above mentioned.
[thumbs up]

We’ve certainly beaten up on some sides who have blown a tyre but credit to Cleary, last night we pulled that side around masterfully. They identified a few weaknesses and then just slammed into them incessantly, even if it meant playing a very different game than we’re used to.

We’re nowhere near the finished article but I think we’ve seen signs of the necessary evolution of this side and that’s encouraging for game 5.

Equally encouraging, all 4 guys that have stepped into this side (Luke, Tito, Hosking & Smith) have killed it. The machine is working and we look set for the top 4, just whether it’s good enough against the best in September.

I agree with 99.9% of you me post Pomoz, but while 2 games on its own is a small sample size, it corresponds (and is consistent) with a longer term trend.

Put another way; I am not sure there is any other fan base questioning if Penrith is the real deal!!

We have had 2 great halves. The rest is still a work in progress

Really good to see Luke having a strong game back, particularly in getting through a half in which we didn't have a ton of ball. People talk about Kenny being underrated, but Luke was hardly found out despite doing a fair bit of defense. If he stays fit (and gets minutes) then I think we really haven't lost as much in the off season that we'd need to be realistically challenged. The same applies to Hosking (as Pomoz pointed out).

According to a report no misses in defence.

So where has your confidence gone? If we were that good a team, surely we can live with losing 2 players… even if 1 is a hooker

We need time to adapt, The WC into the needing 8 weeks break has left a short off season.

I reckon we will be firing by the Roosters game however then it is in to Origin side. Our depth guys have been taken so likely to drop some more games

We have a brutal run home, No byes included so can't freshen up. The round 3 bye hasn't helped.

Had that of been Round 23 or so. We could of played another game together to get combinations early. Freshened up without risking dropping points in a likely congested top 6 or so.

That said we will be almost unbeatable next year. Give that left side another offseason together and look out
