84 rides to Bazal's defence yet again. LOL
More riding to offend your self serving garbage. We’re undefeated so far, why not cheer up a little and stop shitcanning people.
If you don’t think Alvaro was a rare shining light in the shitness that was 2018, then deadset you didn’t watch a game. Does it mean he’s our best prop now? No.
Remember that time you said Brett Kenny was the best. Maybe we should sign him up now!

They're not fat enough. If a bloke is 4 foot wide how is anyone meant to tackle him?

I dunno man. I reckon Shannon Boyd is a good example of how to handle it. Just let him run until he fails over.

Should only take about five steps.

Hey I wonder if @Glenneel still thinks we should have beaten the Tigers offer for Rusty Russell Packer. He was great on the weekend...

Dylan, Lane, Jenko & Fergo’s edge is key for us in attack. They looked quite susceptible on that edge against the Dogs, but they just had no clue in attack and didn’t take advantage of it.

We can score points down that edge, we just need our middles to match them to give us the time and space to exploit it

Goes to show it's hard to have everything. The salary cap ensures that, for most clubs anyway. Even the Roosters only won 6 games in 2016, same as us in 2018.

Oh blow it out your a-hole Pou.

The Rooters had a sabbatical following Pearce and JMH issues plus others.

They haven't missed a beat since they got their shit together. They just keep signing the best young talent without having a nursery to worry about. They just signed the Walker kid, another standout junior that everyone else was interested in. Amazing how when you don't have to worry about looking after your own young talent and spending around a million dollars a year looking after it, how you can just cherry pick at will.

Then you add that you have a billionaire\bankers board and the opportunities that that can provide and the best coach everybody wants to be coached by, how can you not be top 4 every year and in Grand Finals almost every year.

This is why the Roosters have never been for a system where each club is given an NSW area to look after as a nursery. Why would they want to. They are just laughing at all the development clubs that spend all there money, time and effort looking after and caring about their backyard nurseries. Yeah sure you can get lucky and have a few great kids come through all at once and have a great little period of success, but in the long run, poaching the best talent Australia wide is where its at.

And yes Pou, I know every club can do the same and does get kids from everywhere, but we and all the other development clubs primarily focus on our own juniors and look to supplement the junior roster with outside talent. Whereas like I said, the Roosters don't have to worry about funding their own nursery, which frees them to go wild on the best young talent and out bid most times other clubs for the most talented of all the juniors.

As much as it would pain me, I think that we should tell V'landys, that we don't want to fund our juniors anymore and unless something is done about 1. poaching our juniors when they are about to be ready for NRL and 2. teams like the Roosters are forced to take an area in NSW to look after and plough millions into developing. It is a huge disadvantage to us and massive advantage to the Roosters the way the setup is now.

This has been proposed a few times before, but gotten no traction due to weak leadership at the top and fearing Politis, but now that we have V'landys in charge, intimidation isn't going to be a factor and something positive might get done. I know Penrith, Canberra and other development clubs would be on board as well since they have previously been the ones that have put up a stink about it.

Well the Roosters have taken over the central coast. They even have junior rep teams there as well as their 'local' Sydney Roosters junior rep teams. They spend heaps on juniors because they have heaps to spend.

They spend the money on the players that they brought in from around the country. How much are they really spending on local juniors in the central coast area?

Well they have an entire second SG Ball and Harold Matts team. So one for the big money ring ins and another for the local Woy Woy merkins. Meanwhile we're only spending money on one team in each grade.

Yep (Fergo is on the other side), dogs did find space there. And last week against the panthers we actually found some space on that edge, but think it was Drown on a couple of occasions gave a poor pass to his outside backs that allowed the panthers to close the gap. Additionally Jennings also found space twice but stuffed up the pass to Sivo.

At the end of this year we'll finally get rid of all our deadwood (is this Smith's last year?) with Alvaro, Terepo

They aren’t deadwood, every squad needs players like them, the key is not to pay them top 13 money, which I doubt we are considering who we have purchased / resigned over the last 12 months......

look at the storm they have a Max king and Tom Eisenhuth in their top 19 this week.....etc etc etc etc
