For example it's a fact to say that the Tigers have only played 1 team in the 8, but that ignores that Melbourne are only outside the 8 because they've lost to the Tigers twice. If they'd won those games you could say that Melbourne have had a soft run because they got the 10th placed Tigers twice. It's self fulfilling. Lies, lies and damned statistics.

There is many many stories of him dudding people.

In Round 1 many were saying we would be done by Parra. V NQ pretty much every person said we would lose. They are only a win from the 8. Souths are the same wins at 8th place.

Re our form line though, I think you can see that the teams we’ve played haven’t been the best due to the fact they’ve lost to most other teams, not just us. So whilst your example of the tigers makes sense, similar

He didn't have us in his 8. It suits that business to down grade us.

Souths are equal 8th. They beat us they are in the 8. NQ are one win out. They beat us we are below both those teams (amongst others)

Team we didn’t beat

Dogs 0-4

How you interpret that is up to you, but it is no lesser a fact.

I actually happen to think our ladder position is indicative of the quality of team we are, ive said repeatedly this is a top 4 squad. Was saying it in the pre season.




What I do think the ladder shows, is mostly about other teams, not about us. As in our toughest part of the season is not the first 10 rounds.

I don't think we have enough points to beat GC if we run out 1-17. We never beat the sharks even when they were shit. Then the Dogs (who already beat us) than the Cows (who should win their next 3 before that). Knights up there will tough.

6-4 after 10 rounds seems far away even. After that we get Blake and Cleary back although then lose SOO players.

So we are certainly in no position to be down playing our wins or our opponents yet

About week 8/9 I'll take notice of the ladder as a guide for how good teams actually are.

I am more hopeful for the season after the way we defended the last two rounds, maybe we could do a 2016 Cronulla.
