About week 8/9 I'll take notice of the ladder as a guide for how good teams actually are.

I am more hopeful for the season after the way we defended the last two rounds, maybe we could do a 2016 Cronulla.

Round 10 is when you can only start looking at this years ladder for team quality.

That does give hope. We just need our wingers to stay on their man. Much better than prior years

Hate to keep banging on about this, but interestingly the historical records show round 5 is a pretty good guide to the year.

Which is great because we’re well placed.

8th-12th is all on the same points. 6th and 7th is one win in front but with -40 and -32 differential.

Cowboys are 2 points off 8. Play Bulldogs, GC and Canberra all at home next 3 games. With their GF winning spine back

Different year this one. We will make the 8 but have a huge task to stay top 4

That is the funny thing. Even taking about he hates hook so is anti us. He said Pay was no chance to coach Dogs, Pearce was certain to go to Manly. Also had Cordner too injured to play this year... Shocking really. Atleast Moley and co don't make you pay to give you useless tips

That is what annoys me the constant anti us. The nit picking of facts to support his anti Penrith comments.
Plus the rumours he starts that rarely come true.

I'm still waiting for some big news from the club that never came lol.

His name is Gerard Condon he had a stint in the Qld cup I think as a coach or water boy many years ago. Also had a stint with a NRL club in some nameless capacity. Lasted only 3 years.
I don't give 2 hoots about Reading the Plays opinion or rumours. The guy is irrelevant and usually wrong.

He is paid to give an opinion by 2SM. He regularly digs the boot into us Manly and the Dogs.
He didn't even have Manly making the 8 last year and wrote them off this year too. Its not just us.
I don't bother with him. He is a poor mans Rothfield.

Blake requires surgery
Out for possible 10 weeks
From Panthers twatter:

"Panthers centre Waqa Blake will be sidelined for at least eight weeks following confirmation he requires surgery for his syndesmosis injury.

The 23-year-old suffered the right ankle injury after being tackled in the second half of last Sunday's victory over Parramatta.

It was initially hoped Blake could avoid surgery and target a return to action within four weeks, however specialist medical advice has indicated going under the knife is his best option for a full recovery.

Panthers coach Anthony Griffin has opted to shift Isaah Yeo to the centres for Sunday's showdown with Gold Coast Titans at Panthers Stadium."

Can somebody please stop these injuries? Blake,Cleary,McKendry,DWZ,Browne just off the top of my head.

we can never catch a break. f**k me. hopefully we win most of these injury ridden games, and find amazing form when our players return for a finals run

Should be having Tyrone May back soon although I'm not sure who else is nearing a return. franklin2323 is usually on the ball when players are coming back.

Cowboys are 2 points off 8.
This is entirely because after 5 rounds it is extremely unlikely that 8 teams will have won 3/5 or more games. As it turns out, the 8th team has only won 2, and the Cows are another win off that. Really they are 3 wins out of the 8, as that is what they would need in their next 3 games to get in, and even that might not be enough.

When we play them in Round 9. it is very likely they will be in the 8.

Them, Sharks and Storm will make the 8. It is just who drops out that is the question
