He's not that type of player though should be like an extra half. Given how he played in NSW Cup I would say he was told to get more involved. Touched the ball every set made plenty of errors but played 80 mins

Isnt that what AB said? Its good he can play like a half but he needs to learn how to hit a hole and what angles to run, basially how to play a more traditinal role aswell. He cant just play like an extra half all the time otherwise he will be another Joseph Paulo. IMO his hitups are pedastrian so far this year, the only time he bothers defences are with his offload.

And yet he's still offered more than Yeo. The only reason he was dropped is Ivan playing head games and trying to fire him up.

We have Yeo, Taylor, Brown, Kite to do that stuff. He just needs to make his tackles and touch the ball every set his out there in some form

Yeo is the one that we should be getting to make the 50 tackles a game. He runs great lines too already. Peachey and Cartwright are there for 30-40min cameo's against lazy defenders.

Problem was he was invisible out there both in attack and defence

Of course but Cartwright would be so much more threatening than the above players if he improved is running game because of his silky skills, he'd have defenders in 3 minds. Twice this season ive seen him get that ball wide of the ruck withing 10 metres of the try line with a the defence looking streched and grubber instead of having a crack. While its good he has that little skill both times were great oppurtunities for him to run at smaller defenders and possibly get over the line but he doesnt seem to have that in his game atm.

All he offers so far this season is an offload which is good but our problems have been getting up the field and defence not our chance creation and second phase play.

I dont think we will see Bryce shine at NRL level til he is 22/23 and has matured physically.

He didn't get into 1st grade by being the take the line on type of player though. It's too soon to change that. Get him in NSW Cup to get the offload and defence fixed up. When he's comfortable in NRL then change his game like that

Look im happy for him to play Firsts now im just giving you my reason why i think he has been underwhelming and I think you cant be and NRL forward who only plays like a half, if he wants to live up to the hype he needs to improve his running game.

Playing better in defense and lifting his work rate

You want him to be a different player then.

He's keeping pace with the league leaders for offloads, players like Matulino, Woods and Parker, despite certainly having less touches and minutes. He's doing what he does, what he's supposed to do.

Having a great offload wont keep him a spot in FG though. The guys you mentioned get a lot more touches but they also get a lot more metres and through the middle too, Bryce need to be doing more than just offloading. I have seen him threaten to make a line break all season, I dont recall many tackle breaks either. In fact his runs just look like he is setting up for an offload.

Run to the defence, turn back into them, try and get the arms free. He does that or if he is close enough he will grubber into the in goal. I am being harsh now but during the games he played this year I havent seen him do much else. Defensively I think he has been ok, could work harder but so could most players, he makes good contact though.

He usually makes good contact lol. I think fitness is an issue too, he doesnt look fit to me, ive never seen him looking very fit compared to the rest of the boys, hes more like Jamal he carrys a bit of fat.

I have no issue with him going down I just think a few others should join him. What forward actually plays their best at 20? Besides Mark O'Meley I can't think of many. He's down to hopefully get some form back. We just need similar to what Peachey did on the weekend from him.

I agree re form and age. In terms of skills he is very similar to peachey imo he will never be as illusive or fast as Peach but he is much bigger and stronger hence why I think he should be working on his running game etc.

I have no problem with his attack. Get some continuity going, a settled side, start playing some decent football and more experience he will be an asset and we'll turn more offloads into effective plays. Some go forward to work off would be good but that's not likely this year.

Defence he's never going to be more than average, good enough in a functioning defensive line. While we're leaking points I have no problem with Cleary dropping him for better defenders. Once our defence is in order he's a luxury we should be able to afford, and eventually one we won't be able to do without.

Just maybe Bryce need's a little more time, a year to two, before really starts to fulfil his potential.

We are probably expecting too much of him at this stage.

I do think however our coaching staff need to get him to hit the line with more vigour. Forget about always thinking about offloads and second phase play and sometimes just hit the ball up for all he's worth. He is a big unit, mobile and relatively quick so he doesn't always need to be thinking of offloading. Just tuck the ball under the arm and hit it up.

I agree with alot of your posts but seriously? Matured physically? He's 6'3 and 110kg.

All he needs to do is get his hands on the ball more often and not look for the offload every time he touches it. He is also a devastating runner when he wants to be and needs to mix things up.

he has never shown any of that in FG and im not talking about his size measurements im talking about his athleticism; strength, speed, explosiveness etc I think he is a couple years away from his prime in that regard.
