Round 7 v Manly

The Word

I was lucky enough to be at the game. Looks like there were quite a few other dragons there as well. What a great old ground it is to watch a game of footy. Perfect setting for a thrilling match. So many frustrating knock-ons and giving up our lead when they were down to 12 was just so bloody painful to watch. But the way we stuck to it and never gave up really does show that there’s some genuine steel in the team now.

I was watching the game with my daughter and her boyfriend (a Manly fan) and I’d just finished complaining to him that Sloan was the only quick player we have when all of a sudden he ran 90 metres to score. Pure magic and loved the big fend to start him on his way.

Magnificent team effort and great to see Val’s kicking back to his best. So important in tight games like this.

It almost makes me numb that the bunker didnt pull that up.. accident is irrelavent, he eye poked gutho trying to catch a ball.. but because thats not specifically what we challenged.. he ignored it.. this stuff just beggars belief..
Can't agree, he is contesting the ball, we can't start penalising every accidental poke in the eye contesting for the ball, if Gutho was taking a hit up and it happened i can cop that..

What a d$ckhead! Are you enjoying your imaginary public holiday? If you feel so strongly about it maybe boycott and don’t enjoy this time off like the rest of us.
Your response was way over the top, distasteful. If people have beliefs, they need to be respected and not be vilified by the likes of low life’s like you.
If others hadn’t gone over the top with their beliefs the post wouldn’t have been made. i am sure you’re proud of your return insults. Can’t have it both ways. Now back to the footy

I stand by what I said. The original comment was a polite request. The response was a disrespectful rant that was uncalled for so it was going to get a negative response at some point especially on the day it was posted. The last time I checked, Easter was a Christian holiday.

Apparently this isnt a high tackle. Photo from todays Daily Telegraph.
Gough the imposter referee that keeps on giving. The merkin has painted on eyes. He missed a lot of things. And as per usual he made up his on story. The Dragons dropout was called by him (very loudly) that is didn't go past the 10 metres and all our boys just stood back... where is the fairness in that dodgy call?

Oh boo hoo. My employer is closed today. Want me to camp out front of their building until they re-open in protest? Next lame comeback from you will be?
And you’re wrong. 1. This is a footy forum not a praise Jesus forum. 2. Stone Age beliefs with zero evidence to back them up absolutely do NOT have to be respected. Tolerated (unfortunately) is actually the word you’re looking for.

Actually you should check again. Like most “Christian” holidays, Easter has pagan origins celebrating Spring and the equinox.
Shall we get back to footy please - you might have more of a chance of knowing what you’re talking about.

I appreciate it was only the first game of the season and it has probably already been remarked upon in this forum, but our 28-20 loss to the Doggies first round looks better in the context of the run they are now going on (and what they did to the Bunnies).

Not only high , but his bloody huge finger is extremely close to Gutho’s eye ! I never watched the game , however apparently there was no penalty given to the Dragons ?

I'm more worried about the 3 hip drops from Manly players, one resulting in Feagai being unable to finish the game and possibly being out for an extended period and the Judiciary doesn't seem to want to police that. Just high shots, most of which are accidental.
I'm not a Feagai fan but he deserves justice.
