Lomax costs us another try today by planting his feet in defence. Bird blames everyone but himself. Amone... did nothing. Sloan was good. Griffin's interchange is actually baffling, he keeps digging his own grave. Mbye, Lawrie, De Belin and Couchman, all of whom are not massive impact, hole-punching players were on in the last 10... when we needed points. We'll run with the same team sheet next week though and surprise, surprise, nothing will change.

We all know that this year is write-off. But this is a memo to next years coach that we need a decent goal kicker.

Moga stood out for us. Sloan, Kerr good. Debelin started the rot when we had them scoreless in the first half but did a brainless flip tackle on a player who was already held. They scored and that gave them the momentum needed to go hard and gain some needed confidence.

We could have won it with a bit more discipline and attention to detail and a bit more luck. Unfortunately for the Dragons, lady luck hardly ever comes to them.

Insofar as the result goes for Hook, the loss wasn't anywhere near as great in terms of points scored against as I first envisaged before the game and therefore Hook will still be hanging in there. Goal kicking let us down again.

Our next game against the Roosters on Anzac Day should be a bottler.
