Yep I find myself defending Mom a the time it’s not even because I think he’s one of the best two centres but I just see him getting hammered when all of our backs are making similar mistakes.

Burton is clearly a gun and I don’t think anyone would have a problem with him getting the nod over mom.

For me, the fact that two halfchances missed are all that we can come up with when trying to find fault in a player, is a sign his going pretty good.

We are spoilt for choices at the moment, I’ll pretty happy with what ever side gets picked.

Definitely less stress these days.

I said a few days ago that the 1 - 17 we started with is our top roster and don't see why it will change. Burton looks good so maybe some debate over what you do with him if people think he must be in the 17 but I'm not sure it's worth disrupting combinations for a guy not here next year. Maybe off the bench but I can't see May missing out.

May isnt doing much tbh. With Api back id rather have Kenny on the bench than May, and if Burton doesnt make the side id have him on the bench over May or Kenny.

Form might see May lose his spot, even he wont get a free pass with players like Burton looking for a spot.

I've been very fair to Momirovski and praised him where he deserves it. Like I've said before he has real issues passing the ball, it's like he's playing the wrong side of the field. He's a handy soild option but we have better

I don't think May will be dropped. Ivan rates him pretty highly.

All centres do it though. Even Burton made a break didn't pass to unmarked Crichton.

I would agree if he could play right centre

He could play anywhere. A left foot kick doesnt stop him from playing on the right, though I would just shift Crichton to the right probably.

We moved To'o to play with Crichton and they have played 2 games together. So makes no sense to move Crichton again

As for Burton going there. He'd likely be no better at passing right then Mom so not sure what is the point. Especially when in a few weeks he will be in the halves again through SOO.

All you do is lose the 2 weeks chemistry

Lol come on Franklin Burton will be able to pass better, that's nonsense. Pleanty of real arguments you can make for Momirovski buts that's simply not one of them

Burton definitely has better vision then Mom and he is left footed so likely left handed and left handers usually pass better to their right same way right handers pass better left, besides that he is a seriously gifted half, he can pass both ways. That is why most side best attacking side is the left side, there are more right handers so the passing is usually smoother going left IMO.

As for breaking up the Critta/To'o combo, the point would be to strengthen the side. To'o has gone to another level whether he has said Burton or Critta inside him, ive got no problems moving Critta, the most confident attacking play ive seen from Critta all year was running down the right hand side.

In what way does it strengthen it though

Mom has a better tackling %
more try assists then Burton
To'o and Staines both have 3 tries so it isn't like Staines is being left behind.

So why has Mom got more try assists then? And both wingers on the same tries

People just see what they want to see

Well its up to the coaching staff I guess. I think its just a better centre pairing than with Mom. Critta back in form with his little right hand gidley flicks to Staines would be nice down the right and Burton has slotted in beautifully on the left attack.

If they leave Mom I will be happy with that but to me its pretty clear that Burton and Critta are the most talented options, whether they suit the side best or not is another question. Mom has been great and I think he will keep getting better, its a hard choice all round.

I am not sure May makes the 17. Besides the risk at hooker not sure Burton can defend in the middle.

Also Eisenhuth is coming on later and later each week. Martin and even Yeo were playing prop before him. That might be his role instead of Martin shifting wide he comes straight on as edge.

Leinu
Martin

Are certain for the bench. You could run Burton and Kenny both with them or one of them either way is great to have options

Burton & Staines are best mates, have played with & against each other since 14 yr old. The 2 would have automatic chemistry on the right.

He has played 2 more games and has 1 more try assists. Burton has 2 linebreaks assists and has scored the same amount of tries. I mean you cannot draw any conclusions from that at all the sample size is way to small.
