This looks like old fashioned slander to me. I haven't see any evidence of "a lack of pace". I saw him use his brain and back off when Hunt made a break because he was in danger of running into pursuing Grubs and likely giving away a penalty. I also saw lots of bombs go his way in that game and saw him take everyone despite the height advantage of opposing Grubs. I didn't catch the last 1/4 of last week but in the first 3/4s can't recall him dropping any bombs. Actually, the way he has been catching them in the last few weeks would make him one of the best wingers in the competition when it comes to taking bombs.

He dropped / completely missed judged at least couple of bombs last week, probably in the last 1/4. He also tired massively in the 2nd half so his kick returns were really slow and sideways.

*Shaky.

Yeah, I know....couldn’t help myself.

Seriously though, Ravalawa MUST make way for Lomax if McIdiot is “fair dinks” about winning this important game.
Wont happen Jimmy.
Lomax is destined for the Mann role this year unless injury strikes.
Lafai is our goal kicker all year.
If he doesn't work out it'll be Norman.
Lomax is too young for Mary. Too risky.

But I like the way Mitchell brings the aggression. Sims does it for us but other than than, sometimes it seems our guys are too mild-mannered.

Yeah, I wish our bench showed some aggression when they come on especially Lats, he should be using that big bod to put on some big hits and intimidate people. Host and Leilua need to show some grunt as well, Sims should get in their ear, pump them up.

Is that right? Well in the first 3/4s he was probably the best of the outside backs but Pereira made a few really bad and really simple mistakes.

Sims should get in his own ear
Well down on last years form and not in the hunt for SOO if selected on form.

True OT,

He's not where we want him to be as yet but if he's serious, this is the game to come good on.

If we are to win, it will happen because Simms played his part.

It will take a team effort, the bounce of the ball and a neutral referee on the day.

Normally, l have my retro 70s Langlands jersey beside me on game day.

The good lady has Changa's classic on the ready to be worn with much pride.

On Anzac Day, it will be worn by yours truly in full bloom.

The beverages and the hotdogs & onions are also, ready to go.

Here's hoping ........

He is down on last year, but given that he was arguably the form 2nd rower at this time last year that’s forgivable. He’s getting less ball I think, and his defence wasn’t as noticeably aggressive until last week when we started to see that venom again. I also thought he was really good vs the broncos, really took it to their forwards.

Isn't he coming back form a really bad ACL injury? Go easy on him.
I forgot he had surgery. Wasn’t ACL, he had his lateral meniscus stapled. Apparently a much longer rehab than having the torn part cut out but better long term prospects.
He also had shoulder and ribs strapped I noticed in the victory song last week. Seems like he’s carrying a niggle... like tons of nrl players who will also get picked to play this week by coaches other than Mary...

You should watch the replay of the 2nd half. After dropping two simple passes, Pereira fired up and started running like a maniac.
Did he end up with more running meters and fewer mistakes than Ravalawa? Pereira has been playing well. I don't mean to denigrate him but I think Ravalawa has much more potential upside. As a result, for now I wouldn't be in favor of dropping him. If Pearson were playing so well in the ISP as to demand inclusion in he NRL team, I'd drop Pereira. Pearson doesn't happen to be a goal kicker, does he? Is Field the goal kicker in the ISP?

He is going ok. After his breakout year last year, opposition are probably working on ways to negate his line running specifically. Also not having Jack de Belin smashing through the middle is no doubt making it more difficult for Sims to smash through the edges.

OT is always hard on Sims I think he’s playing injured his defence was strong last week though
That is incorrect.
I was for some time but that was a fair while ago and then I admitted that I got it wrong and said he had delivered well above where I thought he would be.
My post this time is in reply to the the notion that Sims should be having a word in Luc & Hosts ear and as Sime form is well down on where he got too last year I suggest he have a word to himself and worry about his own game and get it back to the level he did achieve last year. So not being hard on him just being honest.
Having players worry about things the coach should be doing is not my idea of how it should happen and if any forward should be doping the leadership thing then James Graham is best equipped to do so.
