I'm all for serving your punishment and getting on with life, in fact it's the value I agree with most but the fact he got into trouble a second tine while still under punishment for the first offense should be given consideration.
It was. Two weeks extra consideration.

So you personally know the bloke?

I don't but this is what I think.....

What May did was horrible and grotty, (sadly I think many young ones record their sexual exploits) as if to say if there is no video it didn't happen.

He was caught and was punished far harsher than the courts to be banned for 12months.

Yep he was caught during lockdown drinking with friends at a party. Hardly a hangable offence. Again he was punished harsher than the law of the land by getting another 2 game suspension.

Saying that he should never play in the game again is a complete over reaction.

He did the crime did the time.

If Cleary chooses to pick him for Thursday night, I am more than happy. He is a talented footballer who is a perfect number 14 super sub.

I also remember some wise words 'Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone'.......
I'd like this post twice if I could.

It wouldn't surprise me if they've kept him because they are sick of players this club has developed pulling our pants down.

Have many ex players pulled our pants down?

I’ve been critical of the player turnover in recent times, but there aren’t a heap of players I’d like to have back. Probably only 2/3 right now.

Thanks for your kind words.

I honestly believe we hold footy players to unrealistic moral height.

I've been round long enough to know that if your holding footy players to be a moral voice, your going to be let down badly. Very badly actually lol

One of my earliest memories is being on a train with my family. A local captain coach from a nearby country was paid out for his years work. (they won the grandfinal, actually we had been there to watch it. ) His team won.

He got himself full of grog, got unto the train. Became agressive and quite violent. He punched through the 'dogbox' window, smashing it to pieces. My dad and the conductor subued him. (dad was a train driver, so he knew the ropes) The police were rung he was taken off the train at the next station.

Does it sound familar ? This happened in 1963. Can you imagine the hoohaa if it happened today.

Footy players are young men. At times they do the wrong thing, especially when full of grog. Expecting them to all be model citizens is just loony tunes.

I think about how I would have been at that age, with the cash, spare time & women pretty much throwing themselves at you. I used to socialise regularly with a Panthers player in the late 80's early 90's. The things I saw would make your toes curl. I also got a bit of a taste by guilt through association, ie being confused as a player by being out with more recognisable players. Good times I tell you. Lucky there were no mobile phones...........

I can imagine.

I've seen enough (from afar) some amazing sights (oft very bad) when I've seen the players out of the town.

I wonder how would we (at that age) stack up if mobile phones were continually shoved in your face.

Players at times are also set up......seen that happen too.

Interesting that May and Naden are still there. Is he building up to getting them into the team at a later date?

i was working with a young female paramedic student who once she found out i support Panthers asked me if i knew Tyrone May ? to which i replied yeah his a fringe first grader no star by any means .Went on to inform me that when Penrith were in Port Macquarie he basically just walked up to her and a friend and stated "hi i play for panthers do you both wanna come back to my room? " So that is enough to tell me the type of person he is .
