If he didn't get taught to pass what makes Ivan think Casey is going to pass this week?
The fear of being benched in 2 years.

Honestly just dumb sticking with the same 17 and just swapping two players around.

Jenkins going to destroy every break we make by kicking again?

McLean going to bomb tries by not passing?

Alamoti going to go into touch by being unable to finish a backline movement?

Tago to bench potentially fixes the defence a bit for however long he sits on the bench. But the whole backline was trash and all keep a spot while the likes of Fale and Kepaoa killed it and don’t get a chance. Even if they failed in first grade. It atleast sends a message that form can get you picked and dropped.

Bizza obviously forces someone out. But it seems like injury is the only thing that forces change.

Stop being such a sad sack.

I question how much legs does To'o and Edwards have left. They have done so much hard work in the last 5 years it's gotta all catch up on them.

How do you find

It's a nice little community here in the Panthers forum. Far less dikheads

Yes.

I have some rights here because i am a local and have a long association with panthera.

The de-smugging process, everyone was expecting it to take grip sooner or later.

I thought it would be a softer landing, but its been a train crash.

The extent of it has caught everyone off guard.

The panthers have an accomplished brains trust. As far as i know, they are all still together.

They havent been able to truly hit the market yet as they have a couple of backenders to see out.

If they continue to slide, i think they will hit the market with a gusto.

But they wont panic.

So its a kind of gap year for them. In some ways a relief they dont have the same expectations.

And fyi, Jason Taylor is as much responsible for the rise of the axis of evil at the dogs as ciraldo.

The panther backs are doing my head in atm. Its been chaos out there this season. They dont listen.

Season is gone already mate. We are 1-6 in what is honestly a relatively easy early draw.

If not for Origin I think we could go on a big run and recover to 4th-6th. However, Ivan is currently struggling to get this team together and firing even with relatively small disruptions in availability. What happens when we lose nearly all our best players?

To me this season will be a success if we can sneak into the 8. This is far from assured.
If I was the Panthers coach or an influential figure at the club, I would demand that players put Penrith first and not play Origin this year to prioritize salvaging some credibility from our season but if the losses continue, the NRL season will be a bust, and our rep players will probably be more motivated by playing Origin than for us. I've never been a fan of Origin whenever it has affected our playing strength, so I hope that our players don't get picked because pretty sure they won't refuse selection even though I would if it came down to helping us make the 8 or not.

McLean is a teenager they rushed due to his potential. He deserves time and faith to develop. It's entirely different to tago who's a seasoned first grader or even Jenkins who's a career reserve grader by the looks of it.

McLean was our best defensive centre when he was in last year. This year he's been slotted between two different rookie 5/8s, 2-3 edge forwards and a couple different wingers. McLean and Cole aren't necessarily the problem. We have not set these rookies up for success as we have in the past.

He's also good running it out of trouble. He just needs to get it a bit more something Ivan can address easily.

Forget climbing Everest, making the 8 will be bigger than Ben Hur.

The players MUST make themselves available for selection. They have no choice
