Stewart failed his HIA, hes definitely not playing, so it just comes back to whether Lawrie plays or he wants to blood a new one.. I think Latu is next man up based on his nsw cup stats.. but if he signs elsewhere then I dont give a stuff about his development anymore, but if hes staying id give him a crack.

This is essentially a grandfinal type week tbf.. like its not a normal game.. but I wouldnt mind some younger legs if im honest.. you never know how many minutes they might need to push out if we get injuries.

We are performing above exlpectations and cannot sustain this effort without recruiting or discovering:
1. Apha prop.
2. A halfback or five-eighth who can manage a game.

Taking a stab at the 17 for this week:

1. Gutherson
2. Sloan
3. Suli
4. Holmes
5. Finau

6. Flanagan
7. Ilias

8. Couchman
9. Cook
10. Guler
11. Egan
12. Su'a
13. de Belin

14. Liddle
15. Klemmer
16. Leilua
17. Stewart

Guler & Klemmer could potentially swap? But having Guler back gives us more options RE: the props rotation.
Is Stewart okay with regards to concussion protocols? I might have missed something...
Plenty putting their hand up for the extended bench, and potential to come in, both in the backs and the forwards.

I haven't been able to get out to many games over the last 18 months. The last time I was in attendance where we won was vs Souths at Kogarah, Round 15 2023. I really want to break that duck this week, and what an occasion to hopefully do so.

LETS GO DRAGONS !!
Stewart out HIA - Bummer
Big occasion, so guessing Lawrie in ahead of debutant.

Back five - no argument (What luxury 2 wingers down to bring in Finau)
Halves getting better each week

Warming to Cook but Liddle needs more time in both halves

Klemmer (Minutes), Guler (Impact) and Lawrie (minutes and impact) are a worry but hell, I've not been 100% on all forwards all year yet Flanno makes it work.

We are just in the eight on 8 points -3/4 of the the comp on 10, 8 or 6 points

We need a win!

Well, this will be Finau's big chance to show his skills.

It's a shame Stewart is out. I just hope Lawrie does not costs us the game.

Stewart out is of course a loss. He has been great. That said, a forced week or two off after a good run of games isn’t the worst for a young guy.

i assume Guler comes in to the team, but they are different types of forwards. It may be that Latu is a better replacement for Stewart, which may mean Guler or Lawrie miss out. That said the safer bet is to play the two experienced guys. LPT is another option, but again, he is more impact that speed and effort from what I’ve seen.

Despite the team efforts against Manly it has exceeded my expectations, even Lawrie with a line break!

Even with losses of Feagai and Stewart, I think we are not losing momentum given we have exceptional back ups. It up to Flanno of what he expect to do, even know Roosters has a lot of forwards being out.

Finau, definitely good replacement, and I am sure he will do well. He partnering with Holmes is lethal!

So we need to replace one forward but the spot is more competitive than I thought. Not sure if the Roosters is good timing to blood either Tonga or Latu given Roosters have good record on ANZAC games. Lawrie has been playing really well and doing metres as we needed. His short stints is really helping us. Maybe given him another go, with 2 x 15 mins stints where his energy will thread the defence line.

Guler is good to be back and hope he doesn't do anything silly again. He is risky one, and this kind of match would make him vulnerable. However, for his Turkish descent this match will be important one even he hasn't played on ANZAC before. He will be up for it.

I am a little more confident of this match, and we are due to win one. I am sure coach Flanno knows what the best plan. I know Roosters will be up for it as it is very emotional match.

I’d be surprised to see Latu get a spot before he signs a contract. If he plays well it just makes it harder to sign him. It’s a fine balance as we don’t want him getting so impatient he wants to leave. With Egan he signed a contract first, I assume Flanagan will use the same tactic with Latu.

Lawrie has been there and done that on Anzac day. Been there and done bugger all. I would give a rookie a call up. Let's see what they're made of. Energy and desire v a complacent plodder. I say good enough, old enough.
