Not exactly, the inside collapsed and were beaten on the outside, leaving Garner to have cover two Players, PA and Garner were left in no man’s land. It’s been happening all year.

Need to get to 20 sides and then play 19 regular season rounds per year. Play the opposition at home one year and then away the next.
Mid season break to play Origin three Friday or Saturdays in a row, also put the women's game in the spotlight over this month.
This month off in the middle of the season will allow players to be in better shape for the finals.

With this system the season will end a few weeks earlier so then we finish the year with a better thought out and planned International rep season.

No you are right we don't. This is long term. But once a team is born opportunities become available. It attracts talent.

We've seen more RU players come across recently to league. I don't see why that trend won't continue with the way their game is headed. Hopefully more again if we can make PNG work and get of those platers from SE Asia into our competition. Talk of a stake in Super League purchased by the NRL etc.

Our admin are not short on ambition. Right now 20 teams gives us no byes so that would be the current goal I think.

What we are dealing with is part inexperience and part fitness.

In other words, we are under done and lack that experience to make up for it. Good news is, with every loss, comes experience and every win gives them the taste to hunt more.

I think you’ll see us go on a run now, a little bit of confidence goes a long way with this team.

Nothing better than seeing Nathan kick early and the boys bashing the shit out of teams in their own 20 all night.

It seems like our admin is currently more interested in growing overseas, PNG team, Vegas (which is f**king awesome), Super League purchase. It won’t shock me when the State of Origin eligibility changes to allow Poms and Kiwis.

I guess with all that comes a bigger talent pool to grow the comp.

I think he was saying good coaching is the more limiting factor in a hypothetical 24 team expansion.

You misunderstood. I meant that as a response to you asking if there's enough players to fill more teams not Panthers specifically. Panthers have a great team off the field

I kinda think in a 24 team comp with divisions, we would see an All Stars concept.

Division A vs Division B
Division C vs Division D

So same shit really.

Also fixes the eligibility rules, as it's all based on the club you play for, and the division they're in.

I'll come out and say it. I love origin. I think it'll fizzle out in future though with Polynesian players taking over the league and internationals with teams like Samoa etc. Will be the big thing. How long that takes though no idea.
