Blaize was great tonight, made his tackles and looked good with limited chances, he needs more ball.

Yeo and Cleary look lost. Yeo has become predictable in attack and I’m really not sure what’s happening with Cleary.

I like Schneider, but he is not a No.9, his service from dummy has was poor. He honestly wouldn’t be picked at 9 in our team, god knows why he’s playing there in the NRL. That’s genuinely mind blowing.

The Right edge looked much better at least.

Really disappointing effort all round really.

Not much else to say.

Nath looked like a good halfback playing with a group of spuds dropping the ball, giving away dumb penalties and a pack getting belted on the back of it. His 40 20 changed the game in the second half and wrestled it back into our control. Problem was we threw it right back to them.

Its genuinely weird. The edge defense issues I can at least understand. To'o out, Casey not good enough and our depth not there either. But the bone headed discipline I genuinely can't fathom. This is a team who has won 4 premierships, based on grind, consistency and discipline. We've had players come in and out, but the character of the team never changed. How are we back in the late 00s again, playing like we have the smoothest of shiny brains?

Kenny and To’o are huge for us, bring them back in and we drop both Schneider and Milky.. To’o, Tago, Casey M and Alamoti, whilst it isnt awesome, it’s good enough to be competitive… but Talagi defending next to Casey is suicide.. especially when Yeo is grabbing shirts, Martin is rushing in like a overboiled potato or Sorro is flat footed we are screwed. In attack, we dont have a roll on anymore, threw everything in on Henry and Smith but theyre good bench players, not starters.. Fish was a big loss, everyone knew it would be, but not this big.

we are 2 games out of the 8, its not all doom but its hard to see an upside at the moment

Milky can shift to centre, Casey needs a break

Reminded me of the game last year at Brookvale. Mucky surface. Manly with more punch. Error riddled performance and a healthy smattering of terrible refereeing to top off an awful afternoon.

Ivan ball no longer works with this mediocre roster and hence we are in the spoon position after 8 rounds. It worked before when we had the sufficient class and experience to grind out games. Now there’s too many players who lack the smarts, intensity and the skills. Nathan is also really struggling without the support he was used to getting. Dyl is also playing more like 2019 form and we all know that ain’t pretty.
The retention and recruitment team have a lot to answer for letting the likes of Crichton, Luai, Fisher-Harris go and replacing them with nuffies.
