Straight swap Roberts for Gidley.

I was a bit disappointed in Wes last night. It's been a long lay off but his defense was soft. Hopefully he gets back into some form quick.

Still not sure if Edwards offers much.

EDIT: Id say Wes would be first preference, but he's coming back from a knee injury so they might give it to Tyrone. Sorry not much help I guess lol

Wes will be goal kicker. He's a much better kicker than Roberts.

Apparently Buderus felt a lot less pain and was walking around pretty freely today but won't know scan results until tomorrow morning.

We were gonna win that game anyway. I was personally glad to see him come off early for a rest.

Against the chooks, if we hold onto the ball we'll win 20. If we have the case of dropsies again, we'll only win by 2.

Just heard that Bedsy is out for 4-5 weeks with an achilles injury.

Not sure who is going to replace him. My bet is Hilder starting hooker with kev on the bench? I would prefer to see someone like tets on the bench and have hilder play the full 80 at hooker.

FB post says 3-4. Let's make it 3-5.
Hilder will go to Hooker. Is Faas fit or ...?

Achilles tendinitis will sideline Newcastle Knights hooker Danny Buderus for 3-4 weeks.
In Monday night’s Round 8 game, Buderus left the field before half time due to pain in his Achilles and had to watch the second half from the bench.
Buderus had scans on Tuesday before receiving the results today.
“The positive is the scans showed no tear and it is a matter of now managing the tendinitis,” Performance Director Jeremy Hickmans said.
“With a break from training and playing, Danny is hopeful to return after the bye.”
Buderus was in good spirits at training today and donned the recovery boots as part of his rehab.
Knights utility Matt Hilder will start Sunday’s game at hooker, with his replacement on the bench still to be decided

Does Filipo come onto the bench as a utility?

He does in my team. Underrated player imo, and versatile enough to play a role anywhere if someone gets injured.

Having said that, Costigan's work at dummy half is not too shabby considering he has won a grand final as a prop. (Pictures Glenn Lazarus going for a scoot to catch the markers offside).

That's some pretty exciting news if true.

From all accounts he has been going quite well in NSW Cup.

yeah, excited for him if it's true. I know a guy that he works with... he'll be absolutely pumped for him.

I see he is a halfback in NSW Cup. Is he also a hooker? I mean are we assuming that if he indeed plays that he will be spelling Hilder at some stage?

if you can't do 20-30 minutes off the bench playing a bit of utility hooker then you probably should hang up your halfback boots, imo. then again, i like my halfbacks to be able to defend... some don't feel it's a necessity.

having said that, i don't think it's necessarily a given that he would replace Hilder... it does make the most sense, though.

Maybe Roberts to hooker and Davis to halfback when Hilder comes off. Roberts has shown his D is quite good IMO
