We chose to release him. We have to replace him and considering he was on a minimum wage contract it doesnt free up cap space at all. So how could the salary cap have anything to do with it.

You release a guy on$80k. You replace him with a guy on $80k... you are in the exact same cap position.

We arent the Broncos. We cant release a reserve grader to sign 3 internationals. We clearly released him so he had a better chance at first grade elsewhere. Gus doesnt like to hold players back if they have a better opportunity
