They have to win to justify the same selections again after such shithouse performances. A loss and Griffin has to go. You cant just keep picking the same blokes and playing like shit and not lose your job.

Exactly - Team selections are a joke at the moment - On this alone, he's proven to me he's a dud of the highest order.

We are constantly reminded that NRL is a business now.
The coach should be the boss, and if the team/business is not succeeding then heads have to roll.

If this was my job, id be put on notice to turn things around, discipline poor performers and make changes.
This is f**king nonsense.

what's the go with TMM boys? (not this week, next) I need to know for SuperCoach planning with CHN :p
Griffin claims hes not on the outer. But he refused to move Cartwright last year for him and I doubt he will do it this year.

But maybe Cartwright will have another shocker and get put back to the bench. Im leaning toward TMM being in reserves though.

seeing MWZ squeezed out says to me there is cap pressure and TMM is being shopped around to try and re-sign others?

Hardaker on the bench last year was proof. Winning just makes it easy to put up with crazy selections.

Injuries forced the best changes from him. Although he's not the only coach who requires an injury to force him to make a change. He does seem stubborn though and his injured guys walk straight back in regardless pf fitness or the form of their replacements.

How does releasimg a reserve grade player free up cap space? Hes not even part of the top 25vand if he were he would be on minimum wage. It doesnt free up anything.

The club released him for a better opportunity. It's that simple. We have already signed everyone we want to keep. Releasing guys now changes nothing unless we want a mid season signing.

because the cap for next season is based on top 30.

Exactly. Even a modest NRL coaching contract would be a significant amount of money. As for the players, we have guys making hundreds of thousands a year and underperforming every week and not facing any consequences at all, its ridiculous. IF I underperformed to the level the panthers had I would be punted for sure.

in a cap of 30 players...guess what there's 13 reserve graders

muppet

As was pointed out to me yesterday, MWZ would of been on close to the minimum and someone has to take his spot in the squad(I think he was part of our 24 this year) so whoever replaces him will likely be on the minimum or close to it. We haven't reduced our cap figure very much if at all. IF you release someone is making 150k plus and replace them with someone making the minimum then fair enough, but this hasn't saved anything.

Ha ha righto dipshit... and? In a cap of 30 players, releasing one of the lowest paid players is somehow paramount to cap pressure...? And I'm the f**king muppet?

he's uncontracted for next year isn't it? meaning he would demand a slight pay rise for being part of the top 30 next year right?

how f**king sensitive are you lot about how tight your cap is? lol you're re-signed your entire first grade side for crying out loud.

again,....i'm talking about next season.

eg how do you re-contract eg CHN if there is no cap space left if MWZ re-signs as part of the top 30?

there is also a 2nd tier cap being managed for this season, and there is no proof that his leaving means he would need to be replaced in the 2nd tier cap.

How the f**k would you know if he'd demand a pay rise or not? You're making shit up then getting pissed when it's pointed out.

Nobody is sensitive about our cap at all, you seem more interested in it then we are... Closet Panther fan maybe?

lol so get a debut and club rival interest, but re-sign for minimum wage again?

dude no education is required to be a player agent and you'd struggle to even qualify for that.

so far this week i'm a closet fan for every side in the comp lol

i've already explained why i'm interested, do look back when the rage subsides.

This season or next season it's the same. He only signs for the minimum or someone else does, we aren't saving any cap space either way.
