Round 9 v Cowboys

Oh boy, I am having bad feelings about this game! If we bumble against two lowly ranked teams, imagine how a red-hot Cowboys team will treat us, up there in Townsville. It could be absolute carnage! Hopefully the boys at least restore a bit of pride in the jumper - effort is one thing, but we need to show passion too! That has been sadly lacking of late.

Anyway, if I was selector, this would be the team I would go for...

1. Wesser
2. Gordon
3. Lewis
4. Jennings
5. Rooney
6. Wallace
7. Gower
8. F. Puletua
9. Priddis
10. Clinton
11. Pritchard
12. Moors
13. Smith

14. Grant
15. O'Halloran
16. Cross
17. Aiton (both deserve a re-call)

Sorry T... you need a spell in Premier League.

O'Halloran doesn't deserve to be there.

Sorry but he was pathetic.

Replace O'Halloran with O'Beirne and I wouldn't mind.

Well, looks like Rooney has been dropped!

1. Rhys Wesser, 2. Michael Gordon, 3. Michael Jennings, 4. Luke Lewis, 5. Mark O'Halloran, 6. Peter Wallace, 7. Craig Gower (c), 8. Frank Puletua, 9. Luke Priddis, 10. Brendan Worth, 11. Frank Pritchard, 12. Tony Puletua, 13. Nathan Smith, 14. Tim Grant, 15. Junior Moors, 16. Paul Aiton, 17. Joel Clinton, 18. Maurice Blair, 19. Keith Peters.

But O'Halloran on the wing? Geez...

Best bench of the season.

Backline... wtf? O'Halloran? Goddamn. If Rooney is injured, fair enough. But why not Daniella? Or is this some sort of tactic to improve our defence against the Cowboys?

That is IMO a god damn ordinary side. Tony should have found himself back in reserves not back in the starting side. Fair enough Rooney's injured but O'Hallaron. He'd have to the worlds biggest, slowest winger the Cowboys little men will tear him apart.

very ordinary side Ohalleran has to be the slowest winger around IMO Nick Youngquest would be a better choice

I doubt their wingers will tear him apart, he is a solid defender. But we won't exactly be doing anything in attack.

Seriously, if Rooney is injured, and we must select Priddis and Big T, i'd have gone with this:
1. Rhys Wesser
2. Michael Gordon
3. Michael Jennings
4. Nathan Smith
5. Luke Lewis
6. Peter Wallace
7. Craig Gower
8. Tim Grant
9. Paul Aiton
10. Frank Puletua
11. Frank Pritchard
12. Junior Moors
13. Luke Priddis
14. Joel Clinton
15. Tony Puletua
16. Matthew Cross
17. Maurice Blair

Maybe change 16 and 17 with someone else, but it's a much stronger starting side then what we named. No pace on the wing, when we had a centre covering lock who could allow us to use Lewis on the wing, which he is better at anyway.

Oh well, our team should get absolutely belted, and hopefully force Elliott to drop Priddis, Big T and maybe even Gower. It has to be done... he seems to think they will stop sucking if he leaves them. They might, but he could force them to earn their spot back, or give it to a young guy willing to have a go.

You guys crack me up.You say the team is ordinary because O'Halloran os on the wing.

Our problem is our big names are not performing,Gower,Priddis,Wesser,Puletua and Clinton need to start performing.

I would be very shocked to see O'Halloran start the game on the wing. I am thinking Blair will get a shot on the wing, but only time will tell!!

Blair to centre, Lewis to the wing.

Anything else is just stupid. Yet Matt Elliot is continually picking some players who should be sitting on the bench for Windsor.

Rhino i have all the faith in our side its just that we see the same performance week in week out, with no changes to the style of play or fixing the mistakes etc

i just think we have hit the cowboys at the wrong time with the way we are playing

i hope the players prove me wrong tho mate

I haven't felt so certain we would lose since Round 2 when we belted the Dogs. After going down 18-0 to the Sharks... i thought we had no chance.

I'm hoping we come out and do the same to the Cowboys. I know we will need a miracle to win... and i think we will be lucky if we lose by less then 13. But our team can flog the best teams in the comp when they show up. Here's hoping we show up this weekend.

Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. We all know the Panthers are capable of anything, and could very well spring an upset up there.

But then reality sets back in...

The boys are gonna whip the hides of the Cowboys!!

Big T will unleash the angry giant and roar into life.

Priddis will lead by example. Action speaks more volume.

Pritchard won't be outdone by Jennings this week. There will be dazed Cowboy forwards all over the place.

Clinton is on a mission to retrieve his No.8.

We all know our backs are waiting to be fired like cannonballs.

And Gowie our Living Legend will have the space he craves for

With our Franke Puletua ready as always.

Lets go Pennies!! \\\\:D/
