No. Cooper Cronk is 5’10 at best, Burton is 6’3 and quick.

Yea there's a big difference when you're playing on the wing in the juniors then in first grade especially since Burton has been playing as a half for how long now? It's just not a risk worth taking to throw in a kid that has played a handful first grade games in a different position.

I don't really see the need to try and squeeze Burton into the back line, centre is basically a useless position in today's game and even if Burton could play centre why would he stay if other clubs start throwing good money at him and a halves position?

I think the harsh reality is that the club is going to lose either Luai or Burton, and right now I don't see how you can argue that Luai doesn't deserve to be in the team despite the hype around Burton.

Fittler played Centre, 5/8, lock etc. This idea Burton is a specialist half is flawed.

The reason Fittler left is well known. Penrith mgt had little that they could do to prevent it.He was already, reputedly, the best paid player in the game at Penrith, reportedly on $1.05 million for the 95 season.

It’s not that Luai doesn’t deserve it, it’s simply Burton is going to be the better player and in the two games Cleary was out Burton was the better player. Luai got the start cause he was paired in the halves with in the juniors four years ago.

Lachlan Coote didn’t deserve to get dropped from that cows side but I bet the cows management wish they f**ked him off and extended Ponga.

Me I am just as thrilled as I can be that Lui and Cleary are improving each and every game, and that we are sitting 2nd on the ladder.


If someone would have said that mid 2019 that sitting 2nd on the ladder would be our lot for 2020, we all would have taken it.


Burton what happens with him ?

I'd love him to stay.

At the moment though realistically when the top 17 are available where does he fit ?

a hard truth.

May showed me enough at 14 last game. That is his future position.


Burton plays very much like Cleary. Lui is a great foil for Cleary.

If Luai is going well and we lose Burton I am fine with it. I just hope he tries out other positions before he signs elsewhere

At this point in time we are pushing for top 4 and guys like Whare and MWZ are less of a risk. A few losses in a row or the side really falling off the cliff changes things

He’s only been playing in the halves for a couple of years believe it or not. He was actually brought to the club as a winger.

As for playing centre, idea would be to have him fit & ready to go when a more important position comes up.

Honestly think he could be an awesome fullback for us. Such an important position in today’s game, too.

Meh. I am sure the winning percentage was higher in the Storm's favour when we played them. Didn't help them.
The Sharks have had the wood on us the past few years. The way Fox's data is compliled probability reflects their percentages.
We are a different beast this year.
