Kotoni staggs is probably the bloke id partner with critta. I think hes made for origin and hes a big game player whose been in good form for a few years.

Latrell for his one or two moments of brilliance isnt worth the 70mins of lazyness.

The other option if Moses isn't picked in the 6 is Burto to help with the long kicking from centre but if Nathan partners Lil Mitchy we probably don't need it.

Itll be mitch and it should be. Hes always stood up for nsw.

And given the 6 man bench id carry katoa.. hes ready.. burton isnt in all of their leagues.

Played centre as recently as last year. I'd pick almost anyone over Staggs

I agree strange is a future origin player but hes a 6.

Id have casey, bradman best, latrell, staggs over him.

If he picks him at 6 over moses i wouldnt have an issue with that.

As long as Laurie Daley is the coach it doesn’t matter who is picked for NSW, the bloke has no idea. After we lost the series last year I heard the clown say “we are building”. Unbelievable, especially when you consider Madge won the series in 2024.

With injuries Luai might end up 6. In which case you could have Crichton and To'o over on the left instead.

My pick for the halves is Cleary/Moses. They looked good in the match they had together. And I'd probably have Luai on the bench.

Turbo is injury prone and past his best..

In their prime yes turbo and latrell were must picks but those days are past..

Just pick blokes who are competitors every week who play in their position every week.

He looks good but as you say behind Cleary and Moses as the 7. If both of them are injured he is probably the guy.

We don't know how Katoa would go as second fiddle. I'd be confident the two above and of course Luai could play 6.

As for kicking the three of them are all fantastic. If we are somehow short of kicking options in 2026 then its either terrible selections or a huge number of injuries.

Rep football has a long history of picking top level players out of position. The current NSW coach was a fantastic centre in the rep arena

Im all for picking out and out fighters and winners out of position..

Latrell is lazy at souths.. hes a 10min player and 70minute rest on laurels guy.

Qld has paved a reputation based of hard work and dedication.

Latrell doesnt fit that..

When dailey was a centre the game was different...

It is a full blown specialised position these days.. the game has changed and evolved x100 from when he played.

Id argue centre is easily the most difficult defensive position on the field. Attacking wise they get way less time and space then what daley and co did.

Just pick blokes that play that position weekly. So if that means picking milky iver turbo on the wing if milky is still the form winger of the comp... yes 110%
