anyway, Roy didn't say anything that was out of the ordinary, but did ackowledge that was a hard campaign, he also said that he is being considered for the chairmans position but Hilditch and Gerrard need to be consulted.

He's given Anderson full support (sorry Ando you're gone..lol) and understands that he inherited the squad that he has now, they're obviously looking at improving the squad.

when asked about ANZ stadium, he said that they're looking at more corporate support to come on board to assist financially and maybe strike a naming rights deal with the trusr, the problem there is that they currently have 5 year deal with ANZ stadium which will make life interesting.

he did say that they're going to the agm to look at changing the constittion with the 3 3 rule and I they haven't ruled out bringing Saad and Saasson on board in place of Gerrard and Hilditch.

The ANZ/Parramatta Stadium is an interesting issue.

Obviously they cant do anything until they see the contract and the dollars, and even then, I'd imagine to supplement any loss we'd need to be able to negotiate a deal with the trust for naming rights for eels games?

Changing the constitution so that you dont need 3 members of the LC board also being on the FC board - ensuring two completely seperate boards.

Keeping in mind Saad and Sassen finished in the top 7 in terms of votes, it would be recognsing the will of the members rather than having a rule that promotes the status quo.

ok...it probably wasn't explained that well by myself but 3P won a clean sweep 7 tickets on board, however the constitution states that you need to carry 3 board members accross from the football club onto the leagues club board therefore with Chidiac being the only board member elected for both, the bottom 2 elected members need to drop off in the place of the 2 highest FC directors in this case being Gerard 10th and Hilditch 8th placed.

I'm sorry if that confuses you even more but maybe Barty or someone else can do a better job than I can to explain it.

btw, this rule has been in place for 1959 apparently

I would agree with voting to get rid of it, but personally I reckon the 5 3P members + the 2 PLC would make for a better transition board for now

But the members voted for 7 zip.

Doesnt seem very democratic to then say, 'sorry, you didnt vote these two guys on but you'll have them for two years'.

I wouldt mind having Gerard on the board, he did some hard yards on the weekend, but just didnt get the support.

separation of powers. i don't think it's good for the board to be completely over-turned to give power to one group in one hit. having at least some old faces with the new keeps everyone on their toes and doing their job properly and ensures that everyone is always accountable to at least one other person.

it also ensures that no matter what is put forward that their should always be at least one external train of thought.

ffs!! Gronk they haven't even had a board meeting :lol: and technically they don't go into power until the conclusion of the May board meeting next Tuesday so I would say that we wouldn't even hear anything until atleast the June board meeting.
