3P have links to the Commonwealth Bank and OAMPS, so I suggest they would be the companies they are looking at for Stadium naming rights sponsorship or even jersey sponsorship.

I actually thought about this the other night and came to the conclusion that it would be difficult to parade and promise potential sponsors when you don't know the contract status of the current major sponsors.

The last thing you want to do is tread on their toes and make the situation uncomfortable for all concerned.

Yes, and 3P did the right thing, difficult as it may have been. Still, Hadley's let the cat out of the bag now.

Be clear, Hadley's brief comment in no way made a link to possible sponsorship, it was in the context that the new board members now cant be advised by outsiders, whether they be the ex footy players or you know who from the Commonwealth Bank.

I find all this board number talk interesting in that people assume the 3P members will always vote together and the others will oppose. Is it not the idea of a 7 member board that people vote as they feel will benefit the club not as some puppet master tell them to vote.

I would hope each member votes with their conscience as to what they feel is best for the club not who their mates are.

Having members a number of members on both boards works in each entities best interest. The FC needs the money from the LC, so the LC has some control over how the money is spent and the LC was/is there to look after the interest of the FC, so as was mentioned earlier the LC can not shaft the FC of funds.

because it is a small step in ensuring that the LC board is never totally over-run by a bid to just gain control of the building and neglect footy all together .... not an impossible scenario - clubs have been virtually stolen before (altho not clubs quite so big I don't think)

Exactly, and that is why I will be voting against changing it.
