I thought he did what we expect from him apart from the dumb penalty. He at least had an impact with his runs. I think he can contribute if he does those runs but doesn't give away stupid penalties.

In stating that I'd prefer better.

He was very good early in the season.
Would love to know what happened, was he carrying injury, did he not give a f**k?
If we could get him fit and keen, I'd be happy for him to stay.
But, I think they have a plan as both him and Bird have been told to try somewhere else if they can?

If we could get 20.mins from him then great...that's about how long it takes to walk from concord to strathfield station...change at Redfern for Cronulla

I'd like him to stay. We got very lucky with May falling into our laps, because quality props are always a hot commodity and all of the great ones are locked up on long contracts. Royce is a known quantity, he's played with the Samoa lads and it's not like he's on a Blair or Packer like contract.

If he can keep racking up the minutes he's definitely a keeper. Have a huge off season big fella.
He actually had an impact coming on against the Titans.
One thing he has to stop doing is showing his hand too early. Don't run next to a fwd hitting it up, leave that to the quicker support players. Hang back and smash into them in the next hit up or make a decent decoy run which will give the halves options.

I still reckon Royce was largely fine last year, issue was how we used him. Guy like a 15-25 min pinch hitter. We were hoping he would be a longer minute player which he isn’t. Hopefully we’re smarter with him next season.
Agree, I said earlier, I hope Benji learns to use his bench better, I don't think playing Te May for the whole game was that productive for us (though, not blaming him).

Anybody see the picture of Royce on insta, he looks like he has lost 20kg, just full on rippling muscle, hope his new physique comes with the same sort of improvement in his game. He looks super fit and to be honest looks amazing

I just hope he hasnt lost too much power. We already have enough fit big minute props

Have a look at the latest picture on Instagram . WOW!
Someone’s been in his ear for a while now. His play has gone from non existent to pretty good. And for his muscle growth that could lead him to any level. I’m guessing big Quads John Morris has been a guiding influence on why and how..

I would play him for the last 20 - 25 mins of the first half, use half time as a break then have him go again for another 20 -25.

Hey Vic, Royce proved he can play big mins. I know it's a different grade but he played 40min non stop in KOE. He was insanely good, smashing defenders and opposing fwds.
I think a lot of his issues is his attitude. When he slackens in D, he drops off. He needs to stay engaged, stay in the line.
Also needs to stop being used so much as a decoy runner and shouldn't run in support. If he runs in support he then is void from the remainder of the set. Unless of course, he's already had a hit up.

Let's wait and see how he performs though. Atm he hasn't delivered. 20 quality minutes per game would be awesome for us.
