Marky Mark has the 3rd most errors of any player in the NRL. Great in open field though.

The only reason Suallii played Origin was because Mitchell, Turbo, Best, Staggs and Graham were all injured.

When Best became available for Origin 3 Suaallii was dropped.

Fair enough

As a roosters fan I would disagree with Tupou as Marky has an X factor that he doesn't have.
Marks great with the ball, all Union players are good with ‘eyes up footy ‘ because Union isn’t as structured.

Unfortunately the X Factor gets coached out of kids early, staying in your channel and not taking risks that might lead to a turn over are more important in league.

Robbo talked about this in a press conference a few weeks ago.

A couple of interesting points - I’m in the U.K, and didn’t have a clue the Lions were playing on Friday night until I was scrolling through the sports channels to find Saints V Leeds Rhinos and saw a Lions game being shown on one of the channels - only from reading this thread do I now know that was a live match - I’d just assumed it was an old match as I know there is a Lions tour at some point soon.
I guess what I’m saying is that is far from ‘wall to wall’, infact, I’ve not had or heard 1 conversation about the Lions tour with either blokes at work or my group of mates, who generally chat about sport non-stop.
Whilst rugby union still has its ‘old boys’ and it’s dyed in the wool toff community, it has no cut through anywhere else in England. Sure people might watch the odd Lions or 6 nations match, but it’s certainly not high on the sports calendar for general folk. Both rugby Union and rugby league are being left way behind.
The lions tour is a money spinner for I assume both the host and the tourists - it won't have much impact on the overall popularity or RU in either place

You do realise that he was serving a 4 match suspension after Game 1. As such he wasdn't available for selection in Game 3. It had nothing to do with Best's availability.

Sky in the UK is covering thew tour and showing every Game Live I believe. This is not free to air on terrestrial TV but Sky have the rights so there you go. I did see an Advert for the Tour though on there yesterday and chuckled. It shows a Lions fans bursting into a Bar full of Fans shouting for his Team and then suddenly stops in horror as he sees its full of Aussie fans, now laugh all you like about it been full of Aussie fans but they had them to a tee, all leather patched types with their Orange/yellow Scarves that they all wear.

We need to drag our International game back though, it gets people interested that usually don't care much for the game .

I thought this thread was Rugby Australia targeting the best talent of which the means to acquire such talent, such as profits made from the Lions Tour is relevant to topic.

How is the Lions fixture in Dublin where the only recipients of funds were the Home Nations and Argentina, going to help Rugby Australia and is relevant to the topic?
Tour profits are shared 55/45, including commercial and overseas revenues. Rugby Australia are getting a share of everything Lions now.

Everyone in the UK with a Sky subscription might glued to thier TVs watching but they won’t get any cut through in Oz.
Yes maybe not, but the Tour makes a massive amount of money. They aren't getting shortened, that was a narrative from 20 years ago. As a commercial venture it makes too much money for all the stakeholders involved (including Rugby Australia). That is what I responding to.
