Just played my first game on amateur. Beat the Eels 66-6. Might have to increase the difficulty a little.

The Eels missed over 100 tackles.

Yeh this pisses me off!! You flick the control and he kinda just steps and goes out gah so annoying. It's a massive tactic with some people online

yep, i'm a bit peeved that i bought it at full $$

might do a return and pick it up next year when its on the cheap, plus its off season now and league isnt on the forefront of my thoughts these days ;-)

I think it's awesome hey. Like yeh it has some annoyances but all games do really. It's a lot of fun and especially online. Career is fun and if you play it on professional it'll give you the best gaming experience with this game. Longer halves are better too

I'm pretty disappointed in JB. I preordered this from there and they still haven't sent it off yet. As has been mentioned before what's the point in preordering most of the time?

The game play has improved over the years but it still run's on the same model of all the other games..

Unless they come up with a better one it will always come up abit short.

oh i agree, its just that i could have blew the 100 clams on something else and gotten more out of it. the most annoying thing for me is the same errors/bugs/glitches (call them what you will) that have plagued all of these games since sidhe's first offering almost 10 years ago.

One thing I don't get is wade graham isn't in the sharks top 17 yet Mills is... So it's not as if they did it from any game of the season?

Also irks me how bench players are always in post try cut scenes even when I haven't used any.

Edit - for those who pre ordered it from job and if they haven't sent it out call them and cancel it. I did that with sleeping dogs when it came out early and hadn't been posted by JB

I think that overall the game is good and will need time on higher/the highest difficulty and good games vs people online before you get the most out of it.

It's a game that you will most likely be frustrated at the start then get used it and start really enjoying it.

I'd buy it hands down. You can get it for under 80 anyway.

JB are offering Max Payne 3 and Sleeping Dogs for select games so I am tempted to trade in. I'm hoping the reviews don't get out of hand tomorrow and people want to trade it in because it's shit lol

In my experience you never pre-order games unless you're buying the bullshit edition with all the bells and whistles that will sell out fast

I feel your pain, I wont be getting my EB preorder until Friday, when I know quite a few people who pre-ordered online with them as well who received theirs yesterday. Oh well, at least I've got the Mechromancer on Borderlands 2 to keep my occupied for another day.

Franchise mode is completely farked apparently, player ratings are all over the place, Ben Ridge apparently has a higher rating then Greg Inglis, one guy was saying Gerard Beale is rated higher then Inglis and demands more money. Also player growth is farked as well, apparently it takes a whole season for one stat to go up making it impossible to develop young players into decent ones.

This is what happens when you get Victorians to make a league game.

Despite the rubbish its getting, I'm really starting to get into it. The games are a real arm wrestle.

If that is true then that is a massive flaw. I haven't got my xbox with me anymore, I was tossing up picking up a cheap 2nd hand one if this game was all it could be but the little things like that and not being able to edit squads in franchise mode (or whatever they call it) mean I'll just give it a miss and save some coin.

I think that is what keeps drawing me back to it. When you do score you feel like you've really achieved something, and putting someone into a gap looks great.
