Work on educating people about the difference. Everytime someone mentions union it should be rugby union. Not 95% of our own people saying 'rugby' like a bunch of parrots.

It would also stop the union in their tracks trying to sabotage with international and national sports and government bodies that they are the same sport! Totally different name, totally different rules, no argument can be made by the union scum to stop the games development overseas.

Lets start by dropping the word "Rugby" from the games name. I have no problem if the rebrand the games name to Super League.

Seriously though at some point I feel the game is going to have to wrap its head around a name change or forever live in the confusing shadow of “Rugby” (sic)

Outside of RL cities, and even within some of them, most people,have no idea there are two types of rugby, or the difference between them. With rugby union gaining greater public awareness though a bigger World Cup, international presence and Olympics it will only get worse I fear.

When I searched for NRL the other day I got the National Ringette League as one of the top results. So the term NRL has problems in Canada, one of our key target markets over coming years

I'm all for the rebranding of the name to prevent Union leeching off the popularity of League but what that name might be I'm not sure.
