Like it or hate it, it's catchy. Very catchy. Even people who don't follow the game will have it stuck in their heads. Easy to sing along to at the game, and the subliminal marketing would work well in Leagues' favour.

Jingles like that are great in advertising for promoting a lesser known name, but everyone knows what rugby league is. Nobody is going to want to go to games just because they use a catchy tune...

We need something powerful, which screams excitement.

Lost Prophets - Rooftops

Not even a fan of their music, but it's got meaningful "sieze the moment" lyrics and a strong adrenaline pumping chorus. A marketing compaign to fans encouraging them to "scream their hearts out" as one rather than alone in their living rooms would go well with the song.
