Basically it says we've offered Taylor a 2 year contract but he has a very sick child who doctors have recommended stays in Sydney.

So, is there officially a Kiwi's only policy? Or is it just walking, quacking and swimming like a duck?

I suppose you have to play the cards you've been dealt. If Aussies don't want to come here, they have to try and use the only other pulling power they have; 'home' and 'family'.

"Our recruitment policy is to attract the best possible players whether they are Kiwis, Aussies, etc

It is generally easier to attract Kiwis to “come back home” than to get Aussies to leave home but we are certainly targeting "

Right from the top.

Brett Morris has attracted interest from the English Super League clubs, while the Bulldogs know they need to offload Greg Eastwood in order to get close to being salary cap compliant for next year.

Bulldogs officials have outlined a plan to the NRL about how they intend to become cap compliant, although rival clubs are well aware of how desperate Canterbury are to shed players and are holding off in a bid to bag players at a bargain price.

From that article:

"If I was going to go anywhere, I'd rather go somewhere where I know it is going to be a real professional club, similar to the Broncos, similar to the Storm ... somewhere where they set high standards for the players and are honest with their players."

So Adam isn't coming to us.

HOOKER SIGNS ON

The Warriors have re-signed Nathaniel Roache for another season.

The 21-year-old made his NRL debut last year and made seven appearances in the top grade this season.

He has now played 18 NRL games and will continue his apprenticeship under Issac Luke until at least 2018.

It’s understood the club has three top 30 spots in their roster left to fill ahead of next season.

Hey I'm happy with Roache, thought he was going for sure.

Please don't drop hints like that Mix :(

Would only take him at bargain basement price as a bench prop.

PTB has a twitter post perhaps inferring the Warriors are trying to get 2 out of Tapine, Paulo from Canberra, Graham and Blair. Tapine is super talented but I'm not sure he'd add the professionalism we need. I would be pretty happy with 2 of those 4 frankly.

Yeah just saw that twitter.

Experience - Graham (Plan A), Blair (Plan B)
Youth and Impact - Tapine (Plan A), Paulo (Plan B)

1 from each category would be a very good haul if you add them to Harris/Pulu. Wouldn't want both Paulo and Tapine though. Would take them both if that's all the options we had, but as stated by Iafeta, Tapine/Paulo probably won't be the standard of professionalism we need to help lift our younger guys.

Interestingly enough, it's on the same morning that Doyle is in his studio as well. Maybe he passed on the discontent that everyone is feeling and suggested that the fans might need a few morsels of hope?

At this point I'd take Blair and Tapine. It's all about the balance. If we can get some go forward in the backrow, it balances out Blairs weakness in that area. All depends on how well Sipley snr and Satae develop over the off season as well. Blair undoubtedly brings the 1% ers to the table that we need, but it needs to be balanced out. Harris is going to bring more impact than Bodene, so that's a start. Mannering at lock, Harris playing 80 mins with Tapine/Afoa subbing the other back row spot is better than what we have now.
