Allgood is a handy young player but if he wants to play hard ball with the club he won't get far IMO.

I would like to keep him but if he backs himself to chase a bigger offer elsewhere then so be it, Stagger has already covered who we have waiting in line.

I agree - as a supporter of the club I want players to actually want to stay around even if they might be able to get a bit more elsewhere. Same goes for Loko if he decides to leave after the opportunity the club is given him then good riddance... I was not filled with confidence about him staying after a recent chat.

Having said that, I hope the bloke that you're not confident will stay after having a chat is Allgood and not Loko. Loko is a terrible defender, but his running game is phenomenal.

I don't think anyone is being tough on him. If he was offered a new contract but rejected it, then he's simply not worth making an improved offer to. That's all anyone is saying. It wouldn't surprise me if Kearney signed him and Loko for a lot more than what they're worth, thinking they were future stars and Stuart re-evalauted his salary.

A player's contract is determined by what other clubs are willing to pay. That's why Papalii (for example) didn't get his big contract from Canberra until the Eels proved we were willing to pay that much.

No club throws overs at a player no-one else is interested in, because they don't have to. If anything, no-name players are on unders until it is time to sign a new contract, which is why we've got Tanginoa and the other four 'academy' products locked up until the end of 2015.

If Kelepi was off contract at the end of this year there would be huge interest in him and we'd have to pay a lot more to keep him than what he would currently be on.

The reason Allgood and Loko haven't re-signed with us is because there is interest from other clubs. That is what is driving their price up. Not the terms of their current contracts.

Yep alot of damage was done by Kearney. Thank goodness it's now being fixed.

i don't think kelly would care if he had to convert to fulltime hooker if it meant getting 1st licks on a starting spot in an nrl side.
