The salary cap won't double. If it gets anywhere near 6 million we should be happy but I don't think we may even get that with what Gallop was saying last week and the recent court ruling in favour of Optus. JWH goes ok but he's not worth the money being mentioned even WITH a salary cap rise.

In order to protect the integrity of pre existing playing contracts , the cap will rise in smaller increments over a number of years. Do not expect a massive increase from one season to the next.

Yeah that's what I'm expecting too and I think it's the general consensus that that is how it will work.

i think a player we should look at is Dave Taylor

No thanks. Would prefer JWH - would be cheaper and has mongrel. Taylor looks overweight.

Would definently be handy but wouldn't give up Fui for him. If he basically replacing Poore, then it is a big win.

NO, a fit Poore is our best forward along with Fui, the rest of our forwards are good honest toilers, but hold no fear for the opposition!!

PS Dave Taylor would also do me just fine, not overweight just his shape!!

HE is just 22 years old and has never started an NRL game but Manly's Darcy Lussick is the hottest forward prospect coming off contract this year. Lussick is being chased by Phil Gould, Des Hasler, Anthony Griffin, Brian Smith, Steve Kearney, Geoff Toovey and Craig Bellamy - and has already met with some of league's biggest names.
He has played just seven NRL games, each coming off the bench. Lussick only debuted in round 14 last year and is averaging 26 minutes of game time each week.
Parramatta is a club rumoured to be ready to outlay huge money for Lussick, suspended for three games late last year for his involvement in the "Battle of Brookvale".

i'd rather Taylor coz of his dangerous running on the fringes especially with inglis there at souths, so if he teamed up with Willie Tonga i think they would be dangerous
