Funny a fan of a salary cap breaching eels club, making fun another salary cap cheetin club, atleast when the storm did it they won comps, when eels did it, they got a big ol wooden spoon.

Well....One side was split up mid year whilst cheating. The other was caught years after they had already won and also allowed to keep the squad or shouldI say the big 4 to win another one. The big 4 would of been split years prior.

Rubbish just coz cronulla, manly, storm and eels all did it, doesn't mean the rest of the other 12 clubs have ever done it, you could say that just because they got caught! But either be smarter about it or dont do it, coz if you get done .... you're a cheat! You cannot say "but we only cheated just a bit, in comparing to what melbourne did"

Panthers did it. Remember Maloney saying publicly that the club had to work out a TPA with the Moylan swap. This admission resulted in the club having to release Leilani Latu to fit Maloney in due to the TPA being illegal under the salary cap.

Season didn't start yet, he admitted that on the kangaroo game prior to our preseason the November before the next season, all clubs are possibly in breach of salary caps when signing new players around that time, Tetris with the cap only counts when the season starts, having the "club" or "manager" organise a 3rd party deal is irrelevant, when politis has cars to give out to his players

The point is all clubs do it. Every single one even ours. The difference as far as I know is the amount. Storm were the biggest as far as I remember (could be off don't remember the exact figures)

Hahaha that was a very stacked side, good thing we could match it with them, just proves our worth in the comp, when we can give them a run and also beat them the following year, with a team of globetrotters who almost got a three-peat

None of that matters, as long as your not in excess of the cap during the actual season, hence why such teams ended up in bad form, mainly from back ended contracts, and really bad recruiting from not having funds then from that.... e.g. Canterbury past few years

My memory is very sketchy on this one. I think it was $100k, and only copped a fine when it eventually came to light and made news in 1992.

In all probity we did it under Gus and perhaps do it now but there's no proof so you can't say it like it's a fact. It's just probably a fact.
