I know Maloney’s been great the last month (after being poor the 2 months prior) but I think it’s time to take a punt on Luai (for 2020) & ship Maloney off if we can. We backed Luai by re-signing him, so let’s see what he’s got.

Agree. I was definitely wrong about wanting to release him before June 30 and happy to be wrong at that but I think by next season Jerome needs to be starting. Nothing to do with Jimmy it will just be time to see what Nathan and Jerome can do.

Dallin was likely pushed too though. Or at least nudged.

I dunno, his last game for us he wasn’t there mentally and then it’s reported he wants permission to talk to other clubs. Call it mutual perhaps but I don’t think you can say he was pushed unless you know something I don’t.

Anyway if a player is being pushed by the club and actually doesn’t want to leave they do what jimmy did and come out and say ‘I’m not going anywhere’. I’ve no idea what’s going on with Waqa but i really don’t think Dallin wanted to be here anymore.

Yeah but you can't force him. With School aged kids it can be hard. This is the where the Luai signed has been stuffed. He is not developing sitting on the bench all game

Yeah exactly. You can't push guys out if they don't want too

Really? Happens every day in professional sport. I just had a family member go through the exact thing in another sport.

Seems a little coincidental that out of the blue DWZ decides to leave when we just happen to be trying to free up space in our cap. Rumours of him being shopped to Parra a few weeks prior, then dropped from fullback after a limited opportunity, then being dropped to reserves etc etc The club/coaches know exactly what they’re doing.

My abiding memory is of Dallin attempting to take out Dylan edwards. That is not the act of someone who wanted to be in the team.

Or maybe, just maybe if kenny needs a rest get maloney into a hooking role, just as wallace did at his last few years, to get his hands on the ball 1st before cleary and luai are in 1/2back & 5/8th.
Having all 3 on the field would be great for attack, but it certainly looks like cleary will always be our 1/2back at 1st reciever, but in my opinion Maloney needs to run the side, hodgson and smith do it on week to week basis for their clubs. Im sure a Wiley hooking role for jimmy would suit him better especially since he would have JFH, and Tamou around him defensively in the middle.
I was recently watching the 1990&1991 GFs and how Royce played out of dummy half, Jimmy would brain it there

Can't have the worst defender in the sport at 9

And what is wrong with going back down to NSW Cup to find some form? He will still get paid regardless.

There's nothing wrong with it. Although Ivan has a history of things like that for guys he wants to get rid of.

We dont know exactly what happened behind closed doors. But we do know that Isaah Yeo said DWZ was training everyday with the boys. Getting along with everyone and when the media hammered Dallin for something bad about the culture here he refused to bag us and told them to look elsewhere.

So whatever was happening behind the scenes he still seemed to love the club and his teammates.

Not the most intelligent post.

Oh thank you so very much. I so appeciate it. Nothing like forming a 'value judgement'. Wow. I do know this. The last couple of games he played this year, he did not look like he wanted to be there.
