Hetherington is the one I would get rid of regardless of what we do with Tamou
I must admit to being a little toey about the gun players who remain unsigned.
I do understand that these things take time, patience and effort to happen.
Just gotta learn to be patient and enjoy the experience.
Going to be interesting about Tamou and Jack and what plays out here.
If Tamou goes then he is a must re-sign
Nothing that we don't already know.
The quote about Hetherington is interesting, no firm “he’ll be back next year”
Gotta read between the lines with footy clubs.
Yeah Tamou likely has a domino effect either way.
Lots of our props off contract at the end of next year, hopefully we can take our pick of which ones we want to keep.
Hetherington
Leniu
Tamou
Tetevano
(I’m sure you know this, just posting for general info)
Lenui they are in negotiations now to extend. High priority.
Tetevano has been good. Very good off the field with training. Helping a few players out. He pushes others to train harder and makes sure they don't cut corners. You can see the way the Roosters do things in him. Very professional.
Tamou and Hetherington could go either way at the moment.
Tamou wants to stay but terms are an issue.
There was some talk if Tamou goes we would look to bring in a low key prop. Someone that has experience and could play half a dozen games should we need it.
Interesting how it will play out.
From what your saying money comes into it too. Good to know that there is a backup plan if needed re Tamou. I've enjoyed what Zane has brough to the team too.
As the roster stands we can't afford Tamou for 2022. And that is on a respectable offer.
I don't begrudge him seeking a longer deal.
I thought Dean Whare would too?I assume Tamou and Mansour are the only players who qualify for the long term player allowance. Probably a year or two away before the likes of Yeo would become eligible. We are such a young side even the longer serving players have only been on the scene since 2015/2016 so short of the 8 years required to take advantage of the allowance.
You mean we can’t afford his asking price, or we can’t afford him at all?

Just checked Wikipedia Isaah Yeo started 1st grade in 2014 but was at the club before then. When does the 8 year at the one club commence when a player starts there Nrl career or when they come to the club. Obviously we need to capitalise on the $200k long serving player allowance given we have only two players eligible three if Yeo meets the criteria next year?
