well why did we waste the same resources on a kid who struggled to make the bulldogs NYC team??

well the cowboys knew something that everyone else didn't and I'm sure Kearney and Nolan knows a bit more than any of us about what they can get out of the players they purchase, I'm prepared to wait and see how it transpires..duds like Woolnough, Lett, Tim Robinson and Cuthbertson are all currently having decent years by their standard coompared to previous years, why is it not possible for blokes like Taulima, Paulo, Roberts and Esi do the same at our club??

Woolnough...................Bellamy
Robinson......................Hasler (mind you robbo was a goodun for us)
Cuthbertson.................Bennett
Taulima........................Rookie
Paulo...........................Rookie.

You're not dumb stagger. Do you see the trend or should I continue.

I wonder what the future lies with Maguire, Humble, and Lasalo. It appears Reddy will go from reports earlier in the year. And I cannot see Hicks, Pele, and Manukafoa retained. Whatuira, Mitchell, and Robson are already gone. Still leaves a large chunk of our top 25 squad open.

and there's still plenty of options out there..aand I don't mean just fulltime players off contract there are also NYC players sccoss the board who are still looking for a deal particularly those who are too old to continue their careers in the NYC system...and I'm really only concerned about the first 3 players you mentioned and I've heard they're all likely to stay.

I am happy with our signings so far
Yep. me too. Coming from a base last year where our coach refused to admit Morts and Robbo were incapable of taking us forward I am more than happy with most of the aquisitions we have made in key areas.

I can also see no harm in bolstering the 2nd tier with players who were once identified as potential 1st graders and still have skill, size, speed and untapped potential even if they seem to have lost their way of late. They are cheap and the potential merits the investment under a good coaching system to see if it can be finally realised, if not we have lost nothing as they are not in the top squad anyway but if even one of them blossoms it will be worth the effort.

Far better than some of the duds like Manase we have signned in the past anyway.

Not to concerned about casey, but Lasalo and Humble staying would be good.

well you've made a decision from the outset that SK will fail, that bit to you appears to be non negotiable and we're not the only club that have opted for a rookie coach, Penrith and the current premiers will have rookie coach's next year (assuming Penrith will stick with Georgealis)

with Robinson, he was a toiler with us, nothing more, wasn't rated by Daniel Anderson and told him he can find another club.

Good point about the Cowboys recruitment for this year.

All of those players who 'appear out of nowhere' do so because they were nuffies once.

The fact is we are signing players, and especially young players with first grade experience. Always a good sign to pick up a bloke who made his first grade debut young, especially when he's got a few games under his belt:

Sandow, 22, 74 first grade games, (debuted at 19)
Roberts, 25, 86 games (20 on debut)
Tonga, 23, 33 games (20 on debut)
Paulo, 23, 30 games (20 on debut)
Tautai, 23, 56 games (19 on debut)

Do me a favour. Go to the West tigers forum and ask them
...hold it there for a sec. You want us to go to the Tigers forum to confirm that their fans aren't happy about the their coach's recruitment, yet we shouldn't be listening to the Parra fans on here who think our recruitment has been good? So if we are listening to the fans, we only listen to the ones that disagree with the coach?? Is that how the internet works?

My point is stagger, that we should of made 1 or 2 more good signings, to compliment the sandow signing.
Why should we have?

Give me the points in the negotiations where we should have got someone over the line to sign for us. I want to know dollars, length of contract, percentage of our cap space left after they signed, and the crucial mistake that the negotiator made that meant we missed out on these signings we supposedly should have made.

well it's been said to death but with our roster we should be stone motherless last imo..I want to see what he can do with the roster he creates before I make a judgement either way.

I have no doubt you can probably add to that list by the end of the year.
