In what his first 20 games for a struggling team where no one was playing well…

Pretty narrow minded way to look at things, but you do you.
Not really, there were a few games parra lost, purely coz he wasn't able to tackle his opposition in the position he was put in, hence why they pushed him out to wing, then after remained in at centre for the rest of the season after we bought him, baz was probably sick of leaking points by then, the commbank game where we scored 3 tries in 3 mins, 2 of them was down straight thru him, daine laurie busted him on pace, and tago dunked on him, right at the end, tago couldn't believe he fell off of him,
I'm telling you he ain't no 1st grader, yes he can be moulded into something one day, but its not our 6, and it's not in 2025, I would easily say parra with a Mitchell Moses for the bulk of the year is an easy team to beat, but we seem to struggle regardless, they easily could have beat us that night, as for my opinion, I've stated it plenty of times, you all know my stance on it, you can believe whatever talking heads hype you want, we've bought a liability in defence, you know the backbone of our 4 premierships

We bought a total liability in defence last year and you were supportive of it….

The talking heads types are the best recruiters in the country. Hmmmmm

If any smuggies are interested in more Wests Tigers photos from our fan day, give as a like and I’ll post up a few more.

Woofy got hold of elf on the shelf.

He’s a WT pet member- but I think he’s a closet bulldog supporter.

Alamotti was not that, daine laurie isn't completely that either, he has a small frame, so having him in a front line position is just inviting backrower ls to trample him, he was always our back up fullback, Ivanovitch just really wanted to get him in our side, without avail tho, I'm sure eventually Dylan will need to move aside at some stage and daine will slot in, but probably not as Dylan is an athletic freak
And you can stick Mmmmmmms up your arse, you're entering condescending fk territory, so just state your opinion, not your sarcasm tool

I agree. Sanders is in the same boat, he’s just signed his 1st decent contract, what’s your point?

That Canberra haven't got the same ambitions as us this year and he will be behind Fogarty to atleast start the year

Or like with Strange will spend time out of the team

PA’s defence was appalling before he got to us. That’s why we got him cheap.

Call me condescending if you like, but you are the one openly criticising Matt Cameron for recruiting a playing, that in your opinion is shit.

So you’re basically putting your opinion up against the Penrith Panthers….. you can expect some comments in return.

Matt Cameron Vs MugaB…. I wonder who is a better judge?

Blaize is one of 3 options we have to play 6, he won’t play until he’s ready.

Same with Sanders, he’ll move into the 6 as soon as his defence is fixed. Strange will go to the centres.

You make it very black and white, but we are allowed to disagree with the recruitment of either Matt Cameron or The selection panel they have, so it's not just matt, where they've all voted on the who who in recruitment, pretty sure Ivan and brandy are a part of that monthly meeting too along with a few others.. keep shinin' luke, someone's gotta eat them apples

That is my point. No matter how promising he is it comes down to who performs

The same people that signed Blaize also signed Cole to a long deal so he too is rated

Yeah for sure, Cole is quite rightly highly thought of, but for different reasons.

Hopefully Blaize comes in with the same attitude forwards his training.

You can disagree if you like, I don’t care, if you were able to give a decent reason I might even agree. But I’m yet to see one from you.

I really don't think it is true but some bloke on YouTube is reporting that Panthers are in deep contact talks with Jahrome Hughes. I did some research but I couldn't find anything

He hasn't played well for the most part, but he has shown that he is very talented. Talented in a shit team is a different proposition than talented in a good team. I don't think anyone thinks he will stroll in and pick up where Luai left off, but who knows what Ivan & co will do for him.

Exactly. You only have to look at what Alamotti achieved by seasons end. He wasn't a Critta clone, but he bought his own skills to the centre role.

With him each week improving on what he had previously learnt.

I at least wait until mid season before writing a new recruit off. Alamotti perhaps had his best game of the season in the grandfinal.

Was Alamotti a Critta clone.....NO......he was Alamotti.

I think you're falling into the trap of wanting recruits to be clones of players who have just departed.

I'm sure Cameron Cleary and co know what they're doing. There record speaks for itself.

This is not a criticism of any poster either. Just my own thoughts.

Makes sense because it’s well known Nate is clearing a path to play Union.

And with his injuries and given everything he’s done in the game ( I’m not sure he can do much more), he deserves the broader international exposure of union, the massive pay day and also it’s much kinder on the body.

And his body isn’t what it used to be. He’s put it on the line too many times.

And let’s be honest, Nate playing union would make it imminently more entertaining and lift its profile.

The panthers won’t stand in his way because he’s done the right thing by them in too many ways.

You’re going to miss him, but he deserves the good will.

Next Rugby World Cup is 2027, he can’t wait for the next one after that.

His official panther contract expires in 2027, so I think next season 2025 will be his last. Gives him a bit over a year to study and play the world game.

He’s grown up to be beyond our game, that’s Ok. Like your kid moving out of home.

I want everyone to embrace the change because when he announces he’s leaving I’m going back to cite post.

And there’s a couple here staying quiet who know I’m right. Not for me to kiss and tell.

You’ll need a replacement half for 2026 and beyond.

He probably needs to get out of his contract now so he can play for the Wallabies in the upcoming British Lions 2025 tour.

Maybe.

I think he probably still needs a full season to acclimatise as the union half role while it has some similarities is different too.

But he’s good enough to pick it up quickly.

If he stays on and plays to the end, it will help with his immortal selection. He’s close, but it would put him over the line.

He’s been the best player in the game for 4 years, maybe Yeo had him every now and again a few years ago, but he’s slowing down.

Why not. Could work really well. Or will Nathan get bored playing that horrid horrid game.

Have a feeling Nathan wants a premiership NRL finger for every finger, thumb and toe first.
