Not saying he's an esports level player, just that in his spare time he focuses on being very good at video games and has a strong interest in the esports scene. It's a point aimed at illuminating his mindset.

I know some very successful gamers. But their interest in the grind doesn't translate to anything else that they are doing in their lives.

Luai just likes to game. Plenty of people like that its their outlet. He has a strong personality and kids like him so being sponsored to play just follows that.

Is he playing on console or PC? If it's the former then he ain't even competing IMO.
