I'd throw 800k at Sandow and sign him up now.

We will more than likely lose hoppa if we get Foran

I'd let Hoppa go in a heart beat, if it meant we could get Folau. Hell I would let Hoppa go regardless considering how much he is on and what he delivers. Most over paid player in our squad by buckets.

Isnt he the highest paid player in our starting 17?

Stick it, with your, "no one knows what he is really on", bullshit.

When he was signed it was heralded that it was a record amount for such a young and unseasoned player and the media were praising his manager for the prices he was getting for his stable or charges.

That price tag is spot on or very close to the money, otherwise he would never have left his junior club especially the quality of the team at the time, who were regularly making grand finals, for our basket case of a loser club. Can you imagine his father John giving him his blessing if it wasn't a mind boggling pay cheque???

Yeah right, Pixie the fairy is doing naked cartwheels in your mouth while you lay down to sleep at night. You're a ridiculous hoax.

Take your hand off it, and rejoin reality my son. I know it can be painful at times, but that's just life. Get on with it and get real!

I actually heard that Hopa was taking up more cap space than Hayne was. I agree with Ram, we could buy a player for $300k to do what Hopa is doing and perhaps better.

Folau would want 200-300k more than Hoppa and produce a similar effort. Definitely better for cap space if we hang onto Hoppa rather than sign Folau.

Falonk would be looking at 1.5m minimum, unless the NRL are willing to tip in half of that he would be a massive cap eating waste.

Not a chance. The average salary is $262k for this year. Do you honestly think you'd get a good fullback for that amount? I couldn't think of any NRL fullback this weekend that would be on that amount. Possibly Sione Mata'utia and Tui Lolohea but they haven't signed a contract recently and have only played a handful of games between them.

im sure he is on good money but 800k a season????? get real! i cant believe you believe the sh!t the telecrap feeds you. what a bunch of sensationalised bullsh!t.

My point is unless you are DA, SS or BA you really have no idea about cap management so why base your opinions around it???

My opinion is that Hoppa has been quite good for us. infact we have played some of our best football in years with him in the team. i'd be happy to keep him at the club.

why does anyone have to leave ?

Sandow's is out of contract this season so if he stays he gets a reduction and we have more money available

i was under the assumption that we had a ton of money to play with? Hayne's money and all these players like Loko, Ryan, Esi Tonga etc their money that we didnt have to pay freight on anymore.

Add in the fact guys fringe first graders like Lussick,Morgan and Peni would be on overs and you would hope we cash to spend even if we nab Foran.

I can understand that logic. If Sandow wasn't on the field Friday night, the score would have been a lot closer. And without Hayne, we need an X-factor in attack. If he can keep that up over the rest of the season, and limit the impact of his sometimes erratic and unhelpful decision making ......... I agree with you.

Cool. But obviously you're totally wrong. That's alright though. You have a right to you wrong opinion like everybody else.

It's just a blessing though, that I'm always right. Cheers.

We're bloody lucky to have you on this forum, then.

IF Sandow played as well as he did on Friday for the whole season (which would also mean our forwards doing the same) then you could say he is worth $600-$700k. But with clubs in need of halves, I think a call will need to be made on his future well before mid year, so based on his past 3 years I would say $500k absolute max, which by all accounts would be a reduction in salary.
