Sticky was the best signing in history of the club he brought great players here by by as yy_cheng punting BA who ended up at Manly and then leaving himself.
Hench we now have quailty players at the club.
So 3P made a master stroke there. Biggest signing since Jack Gibson indeed.

You can just bet this same bloke would have been talking up Foran's toughness for the last 5 years. Now he's left he's not so tough apparently.

manly fans are all the same any player who goes to manly is gods gift to rugby league and any player who leaves manly is a washed up has been :D

Poor guy was off contract (Hi Jarryd :nwave:) so he let nobody down. His club have time to plan now, so he did the right thing announcing it in Rnd 2 IMHO.

Is this the 'tipping point' to Rugby League being renamed Moneyball?

this is one of the best. Apparently they are unaware that they have been buying players from everyone else over the last 40 years....

Also, to be technically correct, moneyball is the statistical analysis of sport to find players who have high production at low salary. Not really anything to do with poaching the best players from other clubs...

But Hayne didn't leave us to play for another club, he simply 'retired'. It happens. He just retired young and changed spots, with the promise that he would return to us if he decided to come out of retirement!

Yes I know that. He could have announced his plans in Rnd2 2014 however. Especially after he revealed that he had been planning this for some time.

Anyway, what's done is done and it's certainly worked out great. Indeed, if Jarryd had given us more lead time, we may have signed an overpriced useless merkin like Barba.

This Silvertails forum is hilarious!

I'm gonna show my Manly-supporter mates this forum after they had the hide to call me bitter over Jamie Lyon.
Foran didn't even break a contract.
