He's def a left winger. Not sure he is in the top two in the game either.
But you are completely right re Mathew johns!
Fair dinkum, can we forget about building our squad/future around Hayne? :crazy:We can as we will know by August at the latest if he makes it or not.
I like this signing as it takes us to the next level where we will have current internationals leading future internationals around the paddock.
Well done to BA, SS and Sharpy.
Fair dinkum, can we forget about building our squad/future around Hayne?
He's not coming back during his previously contracted period (this year), and the club has to move on and lock in major recruitment for 2016 well before Jarryd's August milestone.
As Seward said today, we have more money to spend for 2016! It's not going to be on saving a spot/wage for "just in case" Jarryd!
Then why did he f**king constantly meet with the NRL to have something in place in case Hayne did not make it whilst negotiating with Foran? Mate I knew about Foran a year ago and told many that he was the target. Also wasn't it enough for you when Hayne was quoted as saying that he will never play against the blue and gold unless we didn't want him? Do you think that Arthur is that stupid not to want him if he makes himself available in 2016?
Mate I'm upset that he left too but it doesn't mean we just wipe the best player that has ever played for us and not try and fit him in with NRL assistance if need be.
Gut feels are good, I have a 50% strike rate.Hayne has unfinished business here. He'll be back at some point.
Just my gut feel.
Mate I agree, but I just have a feeling that we not be getting him back, even if he were to come back to the NRL.
August is too late to have not committed our cap money for next year, so it may not be a matter of whether Arthur wants him - it may be a matter of timing not being in Hayne's favour, and Parra not being able to register him under next year's cap if we continue to make signings in the coming months (as Seward has indicated we will).
This isn't "wiping him", it's just putting the interests of the club above the interests of one individual and moving on.
. Sorry the Raiders deserve a laugh. If it comes to that (NRL Assistance), I can equally see the NRL wanting to ensure that a draw card such as Hayne can head to a region/team in need of a boost to their rugby league fortunes... Cowboys, Tigers, Raiders, Warriors, or an expansion team?
So in late 2013 he felt he owed us 2014 (despite being under contract for 2015).The reason I didn’t make this decision any earlier was because of the part I played in getting Brad to the club and the way we finished the season. I felt I owed the Club one more year and I gave it everything I could.
SO following it away from Parramatta. The hardest thing about leaving the club is there’s stability for the first time in a long time, but I know where my heart lies and I’m following that.
If he's injured... do we want him back this year? If he gets cut in July/August, wouldn't he stay over there to chase the dream and train to get accepted the next year (by 49ers or another club)?August is the very latest. The squad gets cut from 90 to 75 in late July and then from 75 to 53 a week later.
If he gets injured I assume he is a goner and will return sooner.
I'm assuming Ricky might be gone by 2016 .. Sorry the Raiders deserve a laugh.
Can you also equally see that he may return to us?
As for unfinished business... quotes from Jarryd's farewell letter:
So in late 2013 he felt he owed us 2014 (despite being under contract for 2015).
SO following it away from Parramatta.
No unfinished business there... despite the "lifetime agreement" comment, this was definitely a goodbye rugby league letter, if ever I read one.

Bingo. But if he gets cut do you think he retires at age 28? He either goes to rugby or comes back. There is about a 65-75% chance he does get cut IMO
In a way yes. That quote is a nice set-up demonstrating that there is a way he could play against the blue and golds, and that the circumstance wouldn't be his fault. So going to some lengths to tell people (fans, media?) that this walkout isn't a case of the Sonny Bills (or Jamie Lyon, if people think those year in Wee Waa and St Helens were all part of a plan to leave us for Manly). Is this article also spin?
...
"For me it's obviously about loyalty, I've been at Parramatta my whole life, I would never do that. The only way I would ever do that is if Parramatta didn't want me."
Stay and train to try again to make the cut for NFL in 2016.Bartman -What does he do if doesnt cut it in NFL?
