I'd personally rather see Luai go asap if he is to leave. I think it would allow someone like Laurie to slot right into 6 during the pre season and I think he has the ability to be a gun there.

I'd take Klemmer and the young half mentioned as both bring depth plus having Klemmer on the bench would really bolster that Leniu spot that will be missing, plus Klemmer would absolutely thrive in our team make up. Klemmer also bring abit of aggression that will be lacking and if Luai does go early then Klemmer is basically a "bad guy image" swap that Luai has.

I said Pet, I said love, I said Pet......The swap story is pure fabrication. No truth in it at all.

if Jarome choose to leave, he needs to stay for 2024 season.

A player swap even if Jarome chooses to leave.....won't happen. It's not to Penrith's benefit.....Isaac Moses benefit probably. But not Penrith's.
I don't think panthers are the issue. I think Luai will be the one demanding an early release. Think about working the same job but getting offered substantially more income to move to said job a year early? Or stay for another year on alot less money in Luai's case probably saying goodbye to 500k next year to run around for panthers?

I think he would want to go and start his own journey and not sit back another year and wait for 2025. It's not like he is desperate to win a premiership..it's all about the cash now. I'd be gone tomorrow if I agreed to sign a new work deal on almost double my current wage.

Have you forgotten about Burton, Lenui, Critta, Ap, Kik.......all signed with other clubs. All said how they wanted to have 'One last ride with the Bros'.......I can't see Jarome doing anything different.

Nrl is very different to a workplace.....Penrith have a reputation of having 'one last ride'. This won't be any different.

If I remember have this conversation this time last with you, and maybe even the year before.

I hope Jarome chooses to stay......but if he leaves. One last ride.

I guess we will find out in time I wouldn't be shocked if it ends up either way.

I don’t believe there is any truth to the swap deal for Klemmer and the youngster Galvin.

People suggesting Klemmer is a has been ignores some pretty relevant facts in that he was the Knights player of the year in 2022 and was very good for the lowly WT in 2023.

I actually think he would be sensational for us for two seasons which is what he has remaining on his WT deal (granted the is an option currently for another season)

In terms of recruitment and retention in this past couple of seasons it’s hard to question the big decisions that have been made by Ivan Cleary & Matt Cameron. They have been called upon to make some really tough decisions and while we don’t know yet how the losses of Stephen Crichton and Spencer Lenui may impact on our 2024 title defence they have thus far got most calls right. The Jerome Luai contract situation is another huge call and I think they will get it right one way or the other. Obviously they will not budge on the $850k a season although there are suggestions they may consider increasing the length of the deal. They haven’t previously for the likes of Api and Stephen Crichton if you believe media reports. I trust they will get this call right.

Losing Api was a mistake especially now after seeing so many others leave but shit happens. We have never had management even half as good as this

Was it really.

They knew what they had in Mitch Kenny. Not to many fans did.

Mitch was terrific all season, totally different beast to Api, but it’s hard to argue he was terrific In a different way.
I love Mitch he's all heart but I promise you Api doesn't allow us to go 16 points down in the GF. He'd have made something happen, an example is his try in the 2022 prelim against Souths. Just made something happen from nothing and got us back in the game.
Such an underrated player who played within himself while with us.

I could be wrong mate, but Api would have had no impact defensively on the three tries the Broncos scored in the 2nd half. 10 minutes of brilliance from the Broncos.

He is contracted for next year if he wants to go bad luck .Like Burton he can ask for a early release

No but he would have moved both sides around so that the 3 tries don't even happen
Haven’t seen much evidence of him improving the Tigers defence (through moving both sides around?)

Are you sure you still want to die on this horse? We won. the comp! But even if you still do, I will ask you the same question I do every time you bring this up. Who should we have let go at the end of 2023 to keep him?

And the last try. If Api had of shown the same guile to wrong foot the defenders as Mitch showed there are posters on here that would still have been talking about it.

We're up by thirty at half time with Api on the field.

Kenny did a tremendous job to become a mediocre attacking hooker this season (great in defence though) but Api would have killed Brisbane with all that ball.
