I'd want to see Taylan play a few games to see how the knee is. Not sure if he wants his future secured earlier than that though. If he is ok I'd agree with those figures. Where that puts us with keeping everyone else we want is the conundrum.

No. Some Parra fans think Penisini is top 5. I don't have him in my top 10 or 12.
Tago for me would be in the 6- 10 range.
Guys like Best,Herbie,Crighton,Manu,Staggs off top of my head but there is more I am sure I can't think of that deserve top 5 mentions.

You still have Lomax, Wighton most likely plays there also. Amd the young Manly kid with speed to burn Koula

I think the squad is well balanced. Edwards was the obvious large upgrade

No one is on silly money but it all adds up, You are probably looking at

To'o $500k
Cleary $1.2m
Fish $800k
Leota $600k
Martin $650k
Yeo $800k

So that is almost half of the cap there.

Luai leaving helps but he was only offered a $100k raise, We have some young guys locked up on the cheap.

Ivan will do his magic with some cast offs but there wouldn't be much for huge upgrades

I’d wait until at least 6-8 weeks to see how Taylan fares at centre before coming up with any figures. Thats of course if he gets selected in the centres in the first place.

Mind you, given that we’ll be up against the likes of the Storm, Broncos and Roosters in the first four rounds, it would definitely give us a good chance to see how he goes.

The salary cap has gone up 21%. So a $300K prop in the old salary cap terms would be $363K now. Which I think would be fair money for Terrell but still a stretch for us. If I was him I’d consider $300K x 2 years from us. His next contract would be $600K+.
