He was also playing injured. He's been at fine at 7 in the past.Straight up refusing to run the ball isn't Nathan or Jerome's style. Those games in the 7 were bizzare.

For many reasons. Being a more talent half the main oneBurton should of been 7 for this reason
Everyone is different, there is no point comparing people.
We definitely play the dogs in rnd 1, that’s not a rumour.
Yes, getting him ready in reserve grade, not Rnd1 of the NRL.Luai isn't a 7. Again you are getting a 7 ready for when we lose several players

That game against NZ means sweet FA, that club will always be a basket case. Luai is a very good 6 when he has a 7 running the show, he's a slightly better non choking Cody WalkerHe was also playing injured. He's been at fine at 7 in the past.
Hopefully Staines has a big off season and puts a bit of size on, and it doesn't effect his speedHe made Edwards ball playing look Moylan quality.
I like the idea of Staines at 1 when Edwards is out. Critter was also starting to show some potential at 1. Trouble is Critter is our best centre and having lost both Burton and Momirovski he needs to stay at centre.
Its not a risk, its either ready good to go, or its not. If its ready after 4 months, its not going to be more ready after 6 months, that's not really the way it works. We have a 30 week season. All that matters is having a fit side come Round 25. No point risking anyone early on
Both are running 6's Burton is just betterCloser to Cleary's style being the main reason

Yes he's just better. Not to say Luai isn't a good playerBoth are but Burton has the better kicking game and plays better structure

The 4 months I said included getting game ready. It won’t be remarkable if he’s game ready after 4 months.you aren't going to go from a restricted program straight into a game though. You basically get the shoulder 100% then go into tackling and running type drills. That is the extra time to get the muscles and joints right or it is time out again.
No, it buys time for players like Kurt Falls to get some footy under his belt.Playing lower grades isn't the issue. Lower grades are stacked what is lacking is 1st graders. Playing FGers out of position doesn't do that
Could kill Luai hahaNo, it buys time for players like Kurt Falls to get some footy under his belt.
Luai and May in the halves for the first month or so won’t kill us.
True! But I think the extra responsibility is good for him.Could kill Luai haha
I really thought the same for the Parra game after origin where Nathan was out but he was super disappointing. I truly hope he proves me wrongTrue! But I think the extra responsibility is good for him.
That we're facing the bulldogs first up. Sorry, I should have expressed myself better.know what?
Burton showed this season that he is a very good centre, and runner of the ball. For many reasons. Being a more talent half the main one
