Best examples are actually Sorro and Capewell. Both were basically reserve graders - or fringe 1st graders. Both ended up rep players.
Another good example is Paul Momirovski.
Other 'reverse examples' (those who were 'internal' who went outside the club) are Naden and SOS. Played well with us and looked the goods as true 1st graders but have basically regressed to fringe first graders again.
Talking about regression - Momo fell off the map, and Capewell will likely never play rep football again.
Momo wasn’t that good for us though either. The amount of opportunities he killed would make Tedesco blush.
Ivan crowning moment has to be Luke Brooks winning Dally M halfback of the year though. Ivan can get the best out of playmakers. Not just established ones. Playmakers of all types and levels of skill.
Maloney and Johnson at Warriors.
Soward and Wallace in his first stint with us.
Brooks at Tigers.
Nathan is now the best half in the game.
Weve had fringe first graders come in and do a job without him. Jack Cogger, Sean O’Sullivan and now Brad Schneider. Dude can get the best out of most halves.
