Edwards over 40-100 is damn quick but obviously that kind of distance is not so relevant in attack in Rugby League. Tracking 68m across field at pace is very relevant though.

I miss the days of having pure speed in the backline...the little kick across to a sprinting Wesser was op.
Trust me. Casey's an absolute jet. He'll be a real exciting player who will bring the crowd to their feet.

The thing about Edwards is he can run at the same speed forever which isn't that quick compared to some real strike players but when guys start getting tired then Edwards can pull away from them.

Have we made the right call regarding Talagi vs Longi?

Could we have made Longi a potential 5/8?

Also Edwards has another 2-3 good years in him before he starts his Teddy like decline. who is the presumptive heir to Edwards when the time comes?

Some on here rate Jaxen Edgar highly.

The club has him signed up until the end of 2026.

More about Edgar vs Iongi.

Edgar imo will be better than Iongi long term.

Laurie in the short term 1-2 years.

Luke’s uncertain future

You’d have to wonder what the future holds for Soni Luke. Luke re-signed with the club mid-way through the 2023 season and played 20 games in first grade last year. But he’s become something of the forgotten man this year – playing in the opening two rounds of the season but not seen in the top grade since.

There was a time when some wanted him to be the club’s first choice hooker ahead of Mitch Kenny. How he’s not even called up to replace the suspended Kenny this weekend. Luke’s still at Penrith next year – for now at least.

Should look to ESL imo.
