His defense isn't good enough on edge. Better in middle
Just to expand on this. I saw even when he was killing it the Eels sometimes he would let the half play too deep into the line which creates overlaps and fans would place all the blame on the wingers/centres. Late in the season I think teams saw this on video and the good teams started to try to exploit it more while he was at the Eels targeting him He was killing it with the ball and tbf playing really well in general despite that.

Idk about his tackling or reads on the edge. I wasn't looking at him too closely but it didn't stand out as being bad from what I remember at least when I was watching not to closely.

TPJ when he plays on the edge even when he was playing well did a similar thing at Brisbane. Probably why Bennet barely if ever played him on an edge.

Hethrington would be a good buy if knight’s are still keen on getting rid of him and the price was right.
I doubt he gets near the $500,000 he is supposedly on after a few average seasons.
He could be good reserve grade cover like Huth has provided.
I know he is more rock’s than diamonds but he played well yesterday.

Bizza sets the record straight

“It was a bit of banter out of Origin camp,” To’o told this masthead. “It was me and Romy [Luai] and Critta [Crichton].

“We are like little kids, pretty much. Whenever we are all together we like to banter, it might have come out [that I wanted to leave].

“It was a bit of a joke that I was going with Romy. I’m obviously staying with the Panthers until 2027. It was all just banter and jokes.

“I’m really happy with where I am at the club and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in the future.”

It sounds like Mat Croker will be available. 24 with a couple seasons under his belt and coming into his prime. Over the last few months when his minutes have ramped up to around 40 he has averaged a tick under 100m a game with around 40 over those post contact. He’s reasonable defensively and would be cheap.

I could definitely see Ivan taking him as that Eisenhuth reliable stopgap squad guy that typically end up playing 15 games but he’s young enough to have Sorenson style upside.
