If Kennedy has agreed it’s probably subject to the 2 week cooling off period so put that announcement before the chooks game. I was hopeful they’d lump it with Katoa early

Give Nicho the 20.

So WK is last right? Interesting approach from
Fitz. Either a master stroke or pain in 24 months.

I am guessing master stroke.
We won't have paid overs.
18th team would be 2026 we will lose players, or he will be last year if we need to move him on, another club takes him out chip in small

I didn’t mean just katoa. I meant keeping them all together. How does stonestreet not walk ?
I f**king love Stonestreet. I watched every 20's game at home last year and I f**king love him. He is 20. He signed for 2 years and will be 22/23 when off contract. He is next man up behind two of the best wingers in the comp. We are balancing the books and will bring these young guys through not buying from the outside. Stonestreet will get NRL experience in the two seasons he just signed for. In 2026 he will be ready to go and we will likely farm a Katoa off to the UK/Katoa becomes the back up. Katoa in 2026 will be 28/29. Stonestreet could walk into the Tigers etc and probably start next year but will he be a 10 year first grader? Some will back themselves and leave while others will buy into our vision, results and development. We likely only get one shot on the back up guys deals as in someone like Iro won't sign on again after next year if he hasn't cracked the team.

Overall it is the reason Trindall signed on when Moylan/Hynes and Dykes were on the books. Same reason Dykes signed on with all the competition behind WK at the time. Same reason Iro signed on behind Sifa and Raimen. Nobody wants to leave. They are super close and love the coach. Players love the club and their mates so much. Xerri in this environment probably still wouldn't of worked out because of his personality. Kennedy, Katoa, Sifa, Raimen even Ronnie are all extremely team first respectful blokes. They buy in. Did you hear one rumour of any of them talking to another club? Did any of them talk about their window to earn money? Secure their families future etc? They came out and all said they would take less to stay together. They have been together since 2016 most of them. Issac Moses isn't their manager thank f**k.

We just need to find another game breaker. Hopefully it becomes Dykes at 6 and we keep the love in rolling on.

Great point.
On Iro what you keep hearing is he can attack but can't defend, that would be reason on dev contract.
I can see u each season as long as we are top 4, adding say one player from outside who is a first grader, wie will ad some depth from outside while bringing the kida through

I really like the look of Stonestreet, but right now, he’s not a patch on Katoa or Ronnie, and whilst he looks very good, I don’t see anything that suggests he’s going to be a world beater, otherwise he’s already taking the 2 or 5 shirt.
I get people love to see the youngsters come through, but in Ronnie and Katoa, we’ve got just about the best wing pairing in the game. Why would we want to sacrifice that for the potential of an up and comer; unless it’s obvious they’re a world beater…
Stick with Ronnie and Katoa, if we lose any of our young outside backs as a result, so what, I don’t see any banging the door down to take their shirts.
We can and will win a Premiership with a Ronnie/Katoa wing pairing

If Stonestreet has ability to play centre and wing on both sides, he will get plenty of games in next couple of years through injury and suspension

Sharks superstar Nicho Hynes has declared he wants a 20 year contract with the Cronulla club, revealing his aspirations to be a coach after his playing days are over.

The 26-year-old originally signed a three-year deal reportedly worth $600,000 per-season to make the move from the Storm and is free to negotiate with rivals come November 1.

After winning the Dally M Medal in 2022, his value has skyrocketed and Fox League’s James Hooper revealed Cronulla bosses have begun negotiating with the gun halfback.

Speaking on SEN, Hynes made it clear he wants to finish his career with the Sharks before taking up a coaching role.

“There’s been talks, everyone’s talking about it a little bit,” Hynes told SEN 1170.

“I just hope something happens and gets done, my manager will sort that out and the club will sort that out, so hopefully they’re talking as we speak because I’d love to stay... then hopefully I’m here forever.

“Ideally I’d love to be here for the rest of my career then I’d like to go straight into coaching... give me a 20-year contract Sharks.”

Post-football Hynes also explained that he has “always wanted” to transition into coaching and believes the ambition stems from his love of “helping people”.

“Yeah I do (have ambitions to be a coach), big time, I’ve always said I wanted to be a coach, I just love it,” Hynes added.

“I love helping people out, I love helping young kids realise their dreams.

“So hopefully one day I can be a coach to hand a debut jersey, that’s the ultimate (dream) for me, I’d love to do that.

“I’ve always told Fitzy (Craig Fitzgibbon) that and every time he makes a stressful call he looks at me and say, ‘Do you still want to be a coach?’.

“But obviously you have to start somewhere and I could be a development coach, then into an assistant, then one day work my trade and become a head coach, that would be nice.

“I know I have to start somewhere and if I could an assistant at NRL level our a development coach, I’d be happy to do that but coaching is for me.”

According to Hooper, Hynes’ next contract will likely see his stay extend to the end of 2028.

The gun halfback also made his first appearance of the season against the Dragons in Round 4, finishing the game with seven line breaks and four try assists.

Why big sexy?

I am hetro.

Does not seem big or sexier than any other bloke in the team.

Is he a smooth talker, have a huge dick?

I do not get it.

I believe it’s to do with the “big, sexy” moves he puts on to score tries.

Could be true or could be taking a guess to make out they are in the know.
AGM tonight into the bye week so a good chance we announce something very soon.
I could come out with a statement claiming at least 1 deal done and 1-2 more likely to be announced this week or so and good chance I’m right
Insider knowledge lol
