I can't see any reason why Katoa wouldn't stay, he's wildly underrated and probably is not going to be highly sought after.

On current form I'd have both ahead of Stoney. It sucks for him but that's football.

I just hope it doesn’t back fire on the club - not sure on the $$$, but hopefully within reason. Waiting this long to sign is a good thing.
His comment along the lines ‘the club has instilled faith in me and not it’s time to deliver’ is right in line when he last signed.
All words really - put into action.

I hope we don't lose SS, he is quality player, will play 100 first grade games and is a tryscorer
I hope we don’t lose him either, but I also don’t see him taking a wing spot here at least for the next 2 years.

I genuinely believe we have the best wing pairing in the game. I get SS is a local junior and will no doubt be on less coin, but Katoa plays a massive part in getting out of our own end, is an elite finisher and although has the odd dropped ball, is generally safe as houses defensively (unlike Ronnie).

It seems an unpopular opinion, but I’m sticking with Ronnie and Katoa all day long, unless 1 of them has a huge downturn in form or injury.

SS needs to work on his kick returns and not getting rag dolled as much before he replaces Katoa.

Guess we’re in a good position of having close to the best wing combination in the comp and having a young bloke waiting in the wings that would play top grade at many clubs. Hopefully Iro and Tricky are in his ear about being patient as they both were held back and have now reaped the rewards. If he genuinely wants to be a Shark…he will stay.

Yep, I've been watching that for a while.
It's definitely one area of his game that needs work.

I'm pretty sure most wingers go through it when they first come into grade.
Let's hope he can sort it out sooner rather than later.

Last year was his first season and that in a way is usual.
I compare SS to Bostock at fins, his first season he got rag dolled last season he held his own.
I think SS is actually better then Bostock at same time.
SS he type of player who can be damn dangerous on kick return just on his speed alone

The desire by some here to let go experienced and talented players in favour of raw and largely untested players -- when we're in a premiership window, no less! -- is farkin weird.
A bit like player managers wanting their young clients ( footy players) to be paid on their potential.

Cue the Orr bros.
No coincidence that both Dylan Brown and Our Tommy are getting news breaks at the moment.
I have 3 words to remind everyone of their past:
Karl McNichol Filiga
Anyone who pays Dylan Brown the reported money he is asking should not be in a job of recruitment. When Mitch Moses got injured last year Dylan Brown couldn’t do Jack Shyte to get the Eels to some wins.
